No.
lol just wondering... everyone wants there topic to be stickied

(well maybe not EVERYone)

I think it should have built in rumble and an option to increase and decrease mic sensitivity. I wouldn't really want an analog thumbstick(especially if it's like psp's..). Also.....................................................3D GAMES WITH 3D GLASSES!!!!!!!!!

Motion sensor.
Camera.
Microphone.
1Ghz Dual Core CPU
256MB Ram.
64MB Graphichs card

Touchscreen (

)

Hehe some of the things it just needs to have if i could decide

My only wishes for a new handheld are Gamecube level graphics, and a single, bendable screen so you can play in DS or widescreen mode

(is there even such a screen?)

This would make it easily compete against the current PSP.

I would want a Nintendo TS for Touch Screen...Only 1 screen

But it will be touch. Many of you will be like 'It will fail at backwards compatibility'. But what about a detachable top screen for DS games?! probably for $30-45.

Then it will have Gamecube gfx.
Videos, Music, and a WAY BETTER AND FASTER WEB BROWSER. Like firefox with 256mb ram

And the same games, with just updated graphics would be cool. And virtual console would be nice to play SNES, NES and maybe even DS games. So not as much people will pirate

I would enjoy The Same NDS lite but bigger screens; added RAM 128-256 MB, More features (as long as there is not firmware updates) I enjoy my homebrew and i don't want it ruined.

BTW: Kylertesch has three of those fancy ribbons with only 2 posts.

Damn...there probably will be firmware updates. I HATE firmware updates. The first few months/years will suck, as people find out how to crack the system.

*Gamecube graphics (same CPU & GPU, but with 64 MB ram)
*2 screens (larger), bottom one = touch screen
*Same cartridges as the DS, just larger capacity (1-4 GB)
*Backwards compatible with DS games
*Web browser, wifi, download play, mp3, video playback

bigger screen (wide)
better graphics
touch screen

Basically a PSP with touch screen and nintendo's games.

Funnily enough, I've just reread the whole thread, and that seems to be pretty much what most people want, they just haven't had the balls, or sense, to say it.

Anyway, I want dual touch-screens, filling the whole clamshell (except a 3-4mm border like the ds), so dev's can put whatever buttons they need wherever they like. Time to ditch the d-pad and the abxy (I never gotten used to the damned shoulder buttons). It's a shame, but I don't think we're going to see a bendy screen for another couple of generations at least.

Getting rid of the buttons in favour of touch screen control is definately the wrong decision. Whilst it sounds like it would be cool to have completely configurable buttons, there's no touch feedback. People complain about the DSL buttons feeling 'cushiony', how would all touchscreen buttons feel? Plus, try to find the buttons without looking at them.

I'd be expecting something like

Dreamcast-ish graphics (prob on par with PSP)
Two slightly larger screens at a higher res
One Touch screen
Mic
802.11g Wi-Fi
Possibly camera, built in web browser.

That's about all I can see happening - Nintendo's been pushing the 'graphics don't matter' card too much to suddenly pull out a portable GC (it would look on par with the Wii, so I doubt it's going to happen

), and they've never been ones to include media capabilities - after all, it's about games.

you also have to take into consideration the power impact of any new addition to the DS. they could always put a super-fast cpu/gpu into it, but if it sucks the battery dry in an hour it wont be worth a damn.

so again any upgrade will most likely be an evolutionary advancment,.. mainly due to process shrinks. so you'll end up with a bit faster cpu, gpu, and maybe some sort of screen enhancment. throw in some tilt-sensors.. whatever gains will have to be a 'zero-sum" drain on battery life compared to the current DS.
