So future revisions from ~85 will be without patches form devolution so no sound...? or newer builds will be with sound but from Crediar's svn? So strange thing for me is why tuedj did this - it is stupid since devolution have own AP...

he is an egoist person. >:(

The AP that Devolution includes has nothing to do with this. If the code was really his, he can and has every right to say so, even though discussing it with the devs would have been better instead of making a claim to take down the project.

And I haven't tested the newer revisions so I don't know if there's no sound at all or just garbage at times or something, it will be that way until they find a different approach to fix it.

The devs have said that they will make their own replacement dsp's. The binary apparently matched devo's in some of the dsp's so those are gone but that doesn't mean no audio ever. It just means the code has to be completely original from this point out. As happy as I am that it pushed usb usage to the forefront, i really think the overjoy usb version was the culprit or very soon after it was introduced.

It is little stupid for me since devo and nintendon't must be from dolphin... I am not understanding tuedj act at all...

I looked through the previous revs changes (thanks to FIX94 link) and it seems that indeed, r39 was when those DSP patches were added.

Why is it stupid? If he wrote that code and it was used in a different project without his consent then he can get mad about it. It's something he worked on afterall.

Of course we don't have any way to know if it's really his code, but if Joostin decided to remove the code, then there must have been some proof to backup the claims.

And why do you mention Dolphin? Dolphin is an emulator, Nintendon't isn't. It has its own code to use the GC hardware of the Wii to play the games natively as it's supposed to be. You can't even compare Dolphin in a high-end pc to running a software in the hardware made specially for it.

Ok, update on that USB Loader GX problem with MemCard Emulation.

I now created memory cards for all games and put in my saves through Dolphin. The games boot fine through HBC -> nintendont app and load my saves just fine.
However, the USB Loader GX ends up in a StackDump EVERY time as soon as I turn on MemCard emulation, no matter if I already have a working MemCard or not. It just does not work.

So that means since now every rev. will come without dsp?

Can you try with a previous version like 1218mod06? there should be a link around.. maybe doing a search for it in this thread... here: http://www.mediafire.com/download/3gga2hg6wf97u7a/USBLoaderGX_r1218_mod06.7z

It was working for me last time I tried (I usually run Nintendon't from the HBC though.

Oh, come on.. Is it so hard to understand? YES, from now on that code is gone. The devs will eventually find a different approach to get it fixed.

:iwatamodeon: please understand xDDDDDDD thank you sr. n.n

Okay, i tried the last revision. What do i do to force that stupid SD init error to go away ? I can't run any GC games on my Wii U at all but on the Wii there is absolutely no errors.

Try a different SD, or if possible test with a USB drive. Is your sd recognized by other homebrew?

Are you using the same revision of Nintendon't both in the Wii and the WiiU? In both cases it's all made from the SD right? have you tried deleting the nincfg.bin?

Same SD card for both systems, currently copying Nintendont on a USB flash drive and will try from there

It now works. Here is what I had to do:

- delete the "saves" folder and the corrupted save files inside that were created when nintendont crashed into a StackDump
- delete the "nin.cfg" (?) file in my SD card's root folder to stop nintendont from auto-booting the previous game (but I think you can press B to stop auto-boot aswell?)
- start nintendont through HBC
--> it then asked for my drive (SD or USB), then showed all my games
--> I entered nintendont's settings by pressing B and activated MemCard Emulation
--> I started the game through nintendont directly
--> SUCCESS

So it seems that there is SOME error when starting games and creating memory cards for the first time when using USB Loader GX.
EDIT: Maybe it has to do with the IOS used to start nintendont? I'll try other games with IOS58 and then cIOS249.

Thanks for you help, I will now try to inject my savegames from my real Memory Card into the 2MB sized per-game RAW files. Thanks!
You should have done that to begin with.

Oh yes!
Thank you for the quick reply! I will buy that one today and will post the controller.ini once I am done testing it in HID :)
And yes, I will be able to return it.
Thanks again!

One other thing, could you provide me the controller.ini you have to compare it with the one I have?
Could you send me the file via message?

You're welcome! ;)
I also mapped Power to the "Home" button, it makes more sense this way than hitting "Select" to go back to HBC.

Had a mess around with r85 (yeah, bit outdated now hehe, just been reading the recent news!) - gotta say I'm really impressed with the improvements made guys! (previously only tried r40! Only had a PS1 ds1 controller to use which after a remap was still a bit fickle.... but finally got my PS3 back yesterday!)
Skies of Arcadia runs perfect from the hour or so I played, with mcemu on. Also WarioWare Inc runs pretty much perfect, again with mcemu on. Tested a few others too and updated the compatibility list accordingly..
Fabulous work lads, give yerselves a pat on the back from Muffy! :D
