Yes, I'm using the regular dol. Just wanted to make a mod so you can have a nice background and the verbose loading info is displayed on a single line below. Similar to the loading screen of USB Loader GX.
So far, I changed the font color to White (due to the black background) and put all the text on a single line, but... it overlaps :P I've never used GRRLIB before.
I made a lot of changes to the internal GRRLIB functions (which is one reason why I don't use a library), but the end result is it functioning the same way.

What you need to do is remove all the segments that start with "if(STATUS_LOADING > " like this line.

AbdallahTerro Could you please make a topic for custom builds? This thread is for the official version and it's getting mixed in.

I can confirm that something caused Luigi's Mansion PAL to break between r214 and r215. It works on r214 (with severe cropping of the bottom screen) but black screens in r215 and above.
Does Luigi's Mansion PAL still black screen in 2.215 if you turn off memory card emulation?

That did the trick! Now I understand, all those ifs included the previous messages and that's why they overlapped. Thanks.
And sorry for filling this thread with posts about custom mods. It's a good idea to create a new thread.

I'm having trouble getting this application to work. I've been using Dios MIOS but want to migrate now that there's GC memory card support.
USB Loader GX doesn't launch the games through Nintendont, it tells me that the version I'm using is incompatible with USB devices.
If I use the application itself, I can find all the games listed on my USB device but it hangs on checking FS.
Also, do Gamecube games run any better in this mode? If it's in Wii mode and not Gamecube mode, might the frame rate of a game for example improve?

Nintendont v2.220 and v2.217 here. Luigi's Mansion PAL (Multi 5) Boots into black screen and freezes unless memory card emulation is turned off. Boots into black screen with sound in the background and normal response behavior if 480p video mode is on. With a real memcard and video mode set to auto, it works flawlessly (just got the second key).

Does anyone know why the X-Men Legends series hangs up? Checking the logs it's unclear if it's because of a memalloc error or just "missing files" leading to some unhandled exception. But that means it should not work also from a regular disc, and we all know they can be beaten from start to finish in disc form.

Also, where does nintendont store the logs if I check the OSreport and log option?

Thank you devs for this amazing piece of software. Last time I checked nintendont was struggling to run WW properly and now... wow. Just wow.

EDIT: Nevermind; Turns out you have to switch memory card in GX from "ON" to "Individual"
yeah, I'll probably rename "ON" to ON (Multi), it will be easier to understand.

New version of nintendont use a new pattern that USBLoaderGX doesn't recognize.
You need to update your version of USBLoaderGX to r1233 (for the moment only manual update is possible, so look in my signature).

I did that but that doesn't eliminate the checking fs problem. The status LED on the hard drive stops blinking when it hangs here too.
I've been using the same USB drive for Wii games and DM Gamecube games without issue for some time.

I just tested Luigi's Mansion PAL with r215 and r220 with McEmu off and it works. I guess the McEmu access time adjustment that FIX94 did in r215 is causing issues with this game. Also the game is still severely cropped in r220.

Some of these USB hard drives have power saving features built directly into the drives firmware itself. Seagate has this built in, you control it with Seagate tools. Other manufacturers have similar features that can only be controlled with the software that shipped with the drive. Research your drives features.

I can confirm that Luigi's Mansion PAL black screen issue exists. I tried Luigi's Mansion PAL with forcing 480p and I had a black screen. In previous versions, forcing 480p to the game resulted in a ugly cropped screen with MASSIVE slowdown.

FIX94

There are 3 PAL (50hz) games in my knowledge that display in a cropped image when forced to 480p. Luigi's Mansion, Wave Race BS and Wario World .

Please, make something for them. It is really important for us Europeans residents to experience these first party games in a correct progressive mode after all these years.

And I mean it. Please...

Why not just play the NTSC versions? That's what I do. It's usually the same game anyway (except for LM and some other minor exceptions.)
