I added GPT support in a few patches recently. If you have a GPT-partitioned drive and it isn't being recognized, can you dump the first 34 sectors so I can examine the partition table and figure out why it's not working?
Sorry, took the hard drive back. Were your patches included in the official build, or just something you did on your own?

They're in r387. There's also another branch that adds support for up to 128 partitions. (The current mainline build only checks the first 4.)

I'm currently looking at a hexdump of another user's GPT-partitioned drive. They said it worked fine prior to the addition of GPT, so I'm thinking there's an issue with Mac OS X "Hybrid GPT".

The OP says otherwise. Plus, I just got done testing one, and neither my Wiiflow forwarder nor Nintendont could recognize the drive.

As far as I know none of the three active Wii USB loaders has added GPT support. I'm not sure if that would make a difference.

I just finished doing some quick testing, aside from a couple of issues I ran into (one is not related to the bigger HDD apparently) everything else seems to work fine, I will report though that the BG Mod doesn't seem to work with my new HDD, crashes while it's trying to load the game, the official Nintendont works fine though!
Did you try redownloading the mod? There was an issue that could crash it while loading a game, which should have been fixed earlier this month

Alright I'll give it another try!

Edit: It's no good, after selecting the game it gives a message at the bottom of the screen "initiating game... Loading Game" or something and it just stays there, the official version works fine though.

Nintendont uses unmodified IOS58 only. If USB Loader GX is saying it's using IOS56 (or IOS58) it's either an old version of you have something else configured improperly in it.

Don't try to install Hermes on a Wii-U.

You need an up to date version of USB Loader GX that can properly use Nintendont. As said before Nintendont uses an unmodified IOS58. It does not use any other IOS or CIOS. Don't install CIOS's on the vWii all willy nilly as it will likely result in a brick.

Hi all,

Trying to play four players on Mario Kart Double Dash through Nintendont. My two Wii U controllers work, along with one of my PS4 controllers. But I can't seem to have two PS4 controllers connected by USB at a time. Only one will actually function. When I tried doing four players with Mario Party 6, I ran into the same issue. Why is this?

You are limited to one USB HID device at any given time.

Thank you. I appreciate your help!! I have two more questions:

1) Would I be able to connect three wii u pro controllers at a time? or two wii u and one wii classic controller?

2) Is there a way to configure a Wii remote to work on my Gamecube games? My Wiimote fails to connect with any Gamecube game.

1) Yes to both.
2) You can't use just a Wii Remote as it lacks many of the buttons needed to play GameCube games.

thanx

is this up to date? http://wiidatabase.de/downloads/usb-und-disk-loader/usb-loader-gx/
i updated USB Loader GX (70.51 i think) and no luck. I tried Nintendont trough HBC and freezes. WiiFlow doesn't detect GC games, CFG Loader sometimes freezes. I'm having problems with Wii games too. When I quit to Wii menu it freezes. Is this because i didn't format USB HDD before i copied games to drive? It was already Fat 32.

If this is because not up to date app's, where can i get newest app's?

If Nintendont freezes when loading through the Homebrew Channel there is something funky with your setup then. As a rule of thumb, always re-format a brand new HDD when going to use it with Nintendont as it may not be formatted for best performance and compatibility. The drive should be formatted as FAT32 with a cluster size of 32KB for best use.

Let's run a syscheck and post results in a spoiler just to make sure that IOS58 hasn't been modified in some way, or any other IOS for that matter. If you can't find it, let us know as someone here will have a good tutorial and link to it.
