Welcome, December, and welcome, new Nintendo Switch firmware update. We have officially reached firmware version 11.0.0, and it brings with it more than just stability. Firstly, you now get a Nintendo Switch Online icon added to your home menu, which allows quick access to anything NSO related. The album has also been improved, as you can transfer screenshots directly from your Switch to a smartphone. As of this update, users will also be able to prioritize which games they wish to have downloaded first, when downloading multiple games at once. For those concerned over homebrew access, for now, it’s advised to not update to 11.0.0 until a new version of Atmosphere is released.

A new feature that automatically downloads backed up save data was added to the Save Data Cloud.

  • When using software with the same Nintendo Account linked to multiple systems, save data backed up from one console will automatically be downloaded to your other system(s).
*To use this feature, it must be enabled under System Settings > Data Management > Save Data Cloud.
*Save data will not be downloaded automatically unless save data for that software exists on the console. The first time only, users must download the save data manually.
*A Nintendo Switch Online membership is required to use the Save Data Cloud service.
A new Trending feature was added to the User Page.

  • Users can check what software their friends are playing or have started playing recently.
Information will not be displayed for friends who have their online status set to display to no one.
Users can now transfer screenshots and videos from Album to their smart devices.

  • Users can wirelessly connect their smart devices to Nintendo Switch to transfer the screenshots and videos saved within their Album.
  • For screenshots, users can transfer a maximum of 10 screenshots and 1 video capture at once.
*To connect, users must use their smart device to scan the QR Code displayed on the Nintendo Switch screen.
For more information, please refer to the Nintendo Support website.
*“QR Code” is a registered trademark of DENSO WAVE INCORPORATED.
A new Copy to a Computer via USB Connection feature was added under System Settings > Data Management > Manage Screenshots and Videos.

  • Users can use a USB cable to connect Nintendo Switch to their computers to copy the screenshots and videos saved under Album.
    * A USB charging cable [model HAC-010] or a USB-IF certified USB cable that supports data transfer is required to connect to a computer.
For more information, please refer to the Nintendo Support website.
    * Connection via the Nintendo Switch dock is not supported. Please connect the Nintendo Switch system directly to the computer.
Users can now select what download to prioritize when there are multiple downloads in progress.

  • When there are multiple software, update data, or downloadable content downloads in progress, users can now select which they want to download first.
  • You can set this under Download Options by selecting the icon for the software you want to download first on the HOME Menu.
User icons were added.

  • 12 user icons that commemorate the 35th anniversary of the Super Mario Bros. series were added.
Users can now name preset button mappings with the Change Button Mapping feature.

Brazilian Portuguese was added as a supported language.

  • When users set their region to the Americas and their language to Português, the language used on the HOME Menu and in certain software will be displayed in Brazilian Portuguese.
Several issues were fixed, and usability and stability were improved.

If you've such a strong urge to have 100+ games on your console just to have them, well that's on you.
512gb is enough to me with about 50 games installed and still some space left.

Nintendo released only about 15 games for the switch and given the fact that the console is at the middle of its lifetime, I guess there won't be another 15.

except atmos is free lol
Still doesn't make it any better! So us sx users pay a few measly dollars so we can get hdd xci support.
You people act like free is so much more better! Just because a lot of you are young adults still sitting in moms basement playing pirated video games on a free cfw claiming it is the bee's knees', just makes it sound like you all are too young to make any money or just plain broke and cannot afford anything.

Some people are just blissfully ignorant! If you are using Atmos you are a damn pirate and no better than SX users!
So please STFU over which is better and whatever else!

except atmos is free lol

Yepp not only free, but sciresM is not a gigantic greedy money sucking douche like TX. Nor apparently someone who was sentenced to 5+ yrs in prison due to the sale of 3000 stolen credit cards like one of the members of TX who got arrested was.

Not only that, he and one of the other guys from tx who got arrested, were running a store, pretending to be a 3rd party reseller
and were selling TX stuff include the new modchips. A store where you gave your credit card #'s to the same guy convicted of
stealing credit cards... lmao. The store was Axiogame.com.

In another case, he was also sued by sony for $5 million and sony of course won and I think he then fled to spain. Its all here:

TX is garbage, bunch of criminals, feel free to support them, give them all your info and CC numbers etc... I'm sure they can
be trusted!

sorry. I don't technically want to leave, but there are certain things about scenes that piss me off. when people or groups do things for profit (when it's unneeded) or efame, I have a major problem with it. it doesn't matter much to me if say theflow tells sony about an exploit, because that's his time. it's when someone or a group tries to profit off of users that I don't like.

Hate to be that guy, but all this cat and mouse tactics, Nintendo releases firmware, system mods not being able to legitimately update to latest firmware, having all the drama that comes from the hacking scene. Yeah, not worth it, and until permanent CFW is a reality on all firmware, it's not worth it to me at all. Sorry, not sorry, I'm keeping my Switch legit.

1> prove it!
2. doesn't make a lick of sense!

1. I don't have to prove that I don't do things you alleged me I'm doing. It's up to you to prove that I'm pirating. Can't prove it? Well there's your argument. There's like no law system where the defendant has to prove the innocence. It's always unguilty until proven otherwise.

2. Yes it does make sense. I support atmosphere and it's developer which repeatedly has spoken AGAINST piracy, doesn't make piracy available by standard and doesn't contribute to piracy. Yet sx is on the other hand just plain advertises with the fact that you can play "game backups" without further modification if you use this cfw, even the stand-alone feature is just a pirated stolen code, which isn't implemented in atmosphere for the very reason of NOT supporting piracy.

So you calling someone, actively supporting a NOT piracy cfw development, a pirate while yourself advertises the very definition of piracy is infact ironic.

Do you also not like your local baker profiting from selling bread? Or your butcher from selling meat? They should all give it away for free? This makes no sense. As much as I hate TX, without them there would not be a solution for the millions of Mariko devices out there. It is delusional to think that making even something like a modchip doesn't cost any money to R&D and manufacture... Nobody wastes that much time and money to help some people pirate video games
