This is from Joystiq. I think that european dsi buyers will have 1,000 dsi points for free, huh? But the store will be available at October 5th??? What the heck? I thought at least a month not nearly 6 months! Maybe someone can tell me if the dsi shop will be realeased earlier in europe?

maybe they mean people that log in the shop before October 5th get 1000 nintendo points (=wii and DSi points)
So more people would buy it as fast as possible

this is pretty OLD news
even the japanese get 1000 points for entering the shop... and they STILL get those.
