Wow what an abysmal week! Nah not really but sadly my DS is screwed so I have to think that way. *sob*

Lots of approvals and I've not really been bothered to write up the meh stuff but I'm sure you'll be way too busy with these games to care about the other ones.

Read to know when a game could be dumped:
These dates are what retailers say is out unless stated otherwise, sometimes they make dates up for pre-ordering purposes. These dates could also be "shipping dates" which usually means that that's the date when games get shipped to stores so a game could either be in stores on that day or after. Some games may get delayed some others not listed may appear but at the moment of posting these are correct. Also just because a game is released in stores it doesn't mean that they'll appear on our internets but NA titles usually appear on our 'nets Wednesday night UK time. I love you like a something loves something.

Was due last year, then September, now next week. With the mass amount of big named titles will we see it delayed once more?

So you play this cat who can turn into a Tornado, win? Tornado lets players join forces with Toki and the other members of the Cosmic Cleaners as they set out to restore all of Earth's buildings, vehicles, inhabitants and other obscure objects that have been stolen by the envious Prince using his mischievous "Black Hole Device." Using a combination of stylus and microphone activated controls, players will travel across Planet 69 as they level up and max out their "Tornado Machines" to literally uproot everything in their paths in effort to take back what Prince has wrongfully stolen and return it to Earth.

There will also be a Battle Mode where you can challenge a friend and go head to head and collect stuff. I want this game, it sounds a like Katamari and will probably be the closest thing to that game on the DS

Region North America Genre: RPG/Dungeon Crawler
Developer: Artoon/Mistwalker Publisher: AQ Interactive

From Artoon (the meh Pinobee, the bad Yoshi tilty thing & the good Yoshi's Island DS & Blinx games) and also Mistwalker (Blue Dragon Plus, ASH: Archaic Sealed Heat & Lost Odyssey) comes this new game some of you will cream over.

In Away: Shuffle Dungeon, an unknown force has stripped Webb Village of its residents, and now the sole hero left behind, Sword, must rescue the stolen villagers from the ominous dungeons as he strives to expose and defeat the mysterious thief. Sword must first collect and use various objects including musical instruments to reveal the secret dungeons where prisoners are being held. But successfully saving them is another challenge altogether given a unique timed "shuffle" mechanic that reconfigures the dungeon prisons and hurts Sword and any survivors still caught within when the time runs out. Saved villagers will lend assistance to Sword's quest, as will the magical 'Fupongs' and dungeon treasure he finds that lets him shop in the village specialty stores for armor, weapons, health, medical aid and more.

A RPG by Final Fantay father Hironobu Sakaguchi, Away: Shuffle Dungeon features a scenario from Sakaguchi himself, music from Nobuo Uematsu, and character designs by Sonic the Hedgehog creator Naoto Ooshima. Famitsu scores this 8/8/7/8 so it should be good if you like this sort of thing.

How awesome is this looking to be? A sequel of sorts to the mobile game "Order of Shadows" but you don't really need to play that game to get on with this, which is good because that game was really dull and boring.

This time you play as a member of the Ecclesia, an organization that has sworn to defeat the evil forces of Dracula. Use the brand new Glyph attack system which has more than 100 different combinations to battle Dracula and his minions throughout 20 explorable areas. Take part in side quests and collect items to power up your character in the next great Castlevania game produced by Koji Igarashi.

The game features more outdoor sections this time which include forest, deserts & oceans. The battle system is said to give something new to the gameplay.Sell and buy items and equipment you have found while playing with other players & also go head to head with others too utilizing Nintendo DS Wi-Fi Connection. People who have played it said that while it retains the Castleroid feel, its the first Castlevania game in a long time to not feel like a clone of "Symphony of the Night". For me Konami have gone downhill, especially on the DS but you can always expect a great 2D Castlevania game from them. None of the screens I could find gave this justice, see the videos instead.

This has been out in Japan since October last year and a lot of people took a shine to it. And as always when I wrote this up last year, I hoped that Atlus would pick it up and guess what? They did!

The quiet town of South Arc is about to have some monster trouble. Foul creatures with serious attitude problems have infested nearby forests and are now slowly moving into the village. The townsfolk, fearful for their safety, do not even dare to leave their homes. Calls for help have gone unanswered, likely because every other town in the Kingdom is similarly troubled.

You play this young fella and you end up finding a talking shovel and the discovery of this talking shovel begins an eccentric adventure where you become the master of the monster lair! As the shovel's new owner, you're given the incredible job of digging a dungeon and hunting the monsters that come to live in it. Be the architect of your lair & transform a small hole in the ground into a huge dungeon for hunting monsters! Fill it with over 20 different types of rooms, including Chapels, Cellars, Stables, Trash Dumps, and more to attract different types of monsters and help you obtain different items. Share your lair & challenge your friends to reach the end of your custom monster lair and see what monsters and items are waiting in theirs. Trade designs over local wireless and prove that you're the best dungeon digger around!

Sounds like a winner to me, and a good time killer, I am kinda bored with these sort of titles but this one sounds like it'll be fun and different to what we usually get. Please watch the trailer as it gives a better impression than these screens ever will.

Region North America Genre: Action Platformer
Developer: Griptonite Publisher: Activision Blizzard

Spider-Man on the DS as been pretty meh, the GBA had much better games (even Spider-Man 3 was good on that) but this actually looks like the developers want to make a good game instead of just gimicking one up with touch screen bollocks.

Spider-Man: Web of Shadows immerse players in an all-new action-adventure saga that gives them unprecedented control, never before seen in a Spider-Man game. Armed throughout the battle and confronted by an unrecognizable New York City, players choose to play as a heroic web-slinger or a volatile, destructive anti-hero, fighting with or against a vast number of fan-favorite Marvel heroes and villains, switching instantly between sides, and deciding which missions to undertake to save mankind. An all-new combat system combines web slinging and customizable superpowers to give gamers the freedom to fight and explore in a free-roaming, open-ended environment. Battles blend Spider-Man's speed and agility with the landscape, challenging players to master fast moving acrobatic combat, powerful new web-slinging moves and destructive combo attacks, as they take the fight from the streets, up the sides of buildings and onto rooftops. Exclusive characters for the DS are Nightcrawler and Green Goblin.

Several previews say its a Metroidvania style game, one such previewersaid "Beating enemies earns XP for you to use to customize your character, allowing you to unlock new suit powers, upgrade additional ones, and access new combos. While there are specific upgrades for each suit, you can also do general character upgrades that apply to both suits" and all say that its a lot less linear and more freeroaming. The first must have DS Spider-Man title? Maybe. The screens are shit, the video is better.

Based on the new crap Cartoon series which just fails in every way, this is yet another cash in from Activision who I feel are becoming the new EA, which is odd because EA are starting to suck less with each month.

As usual with Activision cash in games, not a lot else has been said but Nintendo Power recently gave it 7/10 but then they also gave the fudge awful Brother In Arms Wii game the same rating so who can tell if thats right or not.

Activision are weird, they bought Sierra but decided to release this game instead of Ghostbusters. Not sure why, Spyro hasn't sold that well since the 90's & not one person has thought "OH HOT TITS A NEW SPYRO GAME" whereas Ghostbusters is a game people want and will do well on nostalgia alone. Oh well at least the DS version looks good.

Looks like the developers saw how well received the last GBA game was and has instead carried on to make something similar instead of the last sucky game. It looks like a mixture of 2D side on platforming and 3D Panzer Dragoon style shooting. I didn't show the screens as they looked awful, see the video instead. I'm looking forward to seeing how this plays, could be one of those nice surprises.

So Contra 4 was too hard for you? Stay away from this game then as it will screw you so hard that you'll feel like you've given birth.

So its basically you against some bosses, hundreds of bullets get shot at you and if you're not a absolute hardcore, hard as nails gamer then you will die constantly.

When I replace my DS this game will own me and call me its bitch, I find most "hard" games to be not so hard but this will tear me a new one, which is good because I could do with being taking down a whole peg.

Brave: Shaman's Challenge is a puzzle game with an intricate storyline and thoughtful, strategic gameplay. Taking place in a land called Native America, Brave: Shaman's Challenge follows a young boy named Brave in his quest to protect everything he holds dear. He alone stands against a group of evil Shaman dead set on reviving their old master; the Wendigo. Yet again I add this to the thread and yet again it'll probably not come out. I've messaged Midas who are publishing it and they've not got back to me so...whatever.

I hope that this is a good racer but two things make me think that it won't. 1. Its being released at £8.99 and 2. Midas Entertainment release crap games, but hey lets be optimistic here, the game does feature online wi-fi mode (something most bigger games don't even bother having) and seeing as we probably won't get Wipeout it'll have to do for weapon based future racing. If its bad then I guess back I go to Speed Racer.

Wow, now we're talkin'! That's a full week, jam-packed with plenty of good games to toy with. Though there are a couple of top-tier games too, I'll probably fool with Tornado first. The reviews haven't been great thus far, but it still looks like it could be fun.

Waiting for Castlevania, Tornado, Spider-man and spyro (after the delusion of crash mind over mutants).

Maybe Guinnes World Records may be fun. (screens?)

Woo Hoo! Awesome! I can't believe it's finally time for The Naked Brothers Band: The Videogame and Zoo Vet: Endangered Animals! Been waiting all year for these! Need more exclamation points!!!

Seriously though, I'm really excited for CV: OoE. All the other good games will go on a list entitled: "Games to play after I have sunk 250 hours into the new Castlevania".

I really am looking forward to playing Tornado, Shuffle Dungeon, Spider Man, maybe Spyro.

Thanks for the list Hadrian!

Huh, I just saw the JP version of Away come up on my ROMsite. So a partially simultaneous release?

Master of the Monster Lair sounds ridiculous and hilarious too. Building your own dungeon to attract monsters to kill them...that's so bizarre. XD
