Gaming Nintendo DS Titles Expected: Week of 21st October 2008

Yay. The DS needed more shooters like Ketsui death label! Lots of power ups, and straight up shootan game! I like where this is going!

My week is filled with Mother 3, Castlevania, and well... end of term exams.

It's about time some games a person like me can get into starts coming out on the DS. The plethora of RPG's, kiddie, casual noob and just plain crap games was starting to get me down.

Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia. Now THIS is the type of game I bought a DS for and this one looks like it will be pretty badass.....like DoS in the awesomeness of the bosses. Hope it's not flaky with flashcarts like PoR was or I might actually have to go out and buy this one. (gasp)

Next, Spiderman.......this could be good as it's considered a "Metroidvania" type of game. Will give it a look. I haven't been too impressed with any of the previous Spidey games on DS.....especially the ones that forced touchscreen use on you.

Transformers....probably will suck, but you never know...me like big robots kickin' ass!

Spyro looks like it might actually be fun. Graphics look pretty decent anyway. I'll have to be honest when I say I was never a big Spyro fan though.

Ketsui Death Label...WOOT! Old-school shoot'em-up happiness. I really thought there would have been a lot more shoot'em-ups on the DS....beyond the Nanostrays and the old arcade compy's, there haven't been many, which has surprised me.

Gravity Zero Racing....get my F-Zero/Wipeout fix on the DS. Hope this doesn't suck. Speed Racer has been tiding me over, but I've beaten it 3 times already. Need MORE psychotic style racing!

I might give a couple of the others a look, but they don't look like my kinds of games to be honest.

That's about it for me. I just wish they all would have come out this week since I was on vacation from work. Once Monday comes, I'll be back to that whole "no time for anything" deal.

As always, great work Hadrian for bringing us these lists. Gotta love 'em!

I was meant to add Mother 3 in there. I know its only a unofficial translation but its a big deal and one of those that would make people actually want to play Mother 3 instead of any DS game out. Will add it later.

As for Wii, I've decided for the time being to not do it for this week, I'll try an make time for it next week though.

EDIT: damn no time to even write up Mother 3, but its mentioned.

Yeah, I was actually just going to post about this delay. But if that's their reasoning, then more power to them. However, GoNintendo reports that the release date is undetermined, and it could release either later this month or even the next.
