I think they're just trying to expand their fan-base to people who are not into Pokémon. Whatever may be the case, if it's free then most likely it will be somewhat popular.
they obviously haven't ever used an xperia play, the playstation suite still isn't available on any devices yet, and there are still very few details on it, and it can only play PSX games through a custom emulator by sony (obviously locked down), there is no ps2 support and i doubt there ever will beNathan Drake said:To sum it up:
- Nintendo is realizing people like iDevices
- Nintendo knows people love Pokemon
- Nintendo will market on this with a game produced for about $15 that will sell for $5
Eh. What caught my attention was that Playstation Suite thing being able to emulate PS2 games. Pretty sure there is no phone as powerful as a PS2 yet.

They've milked it in every way possible, and they just keep trying.
No big deal. As long as they don't keep making pointless apps.

No more angry birds 3DS anymore I guess.
But it's the pokemon company making this. Won't nintendo disapprove?

Who else agrees? Nintendo isn't making money from it.

Microsoft bought Bungie to stop them for making Halo games for other systems. Microsoft allowed Bungie to later split from them and become their own separate company again. However the splitting was under the condition of Microsoft getting to keep Halo. Microsoft never cared about Bungie's other works. From the very beginning it was all about making Halo an exclusive title for Microsoft owned and produced systems.
