I was browsing the Nintendont compatibility list and I noticed some games say "compress with DMToolbox only". What is this and is this true anymore?

Also, is there a difference between using RVZ files or .ciso files? Tiny Wii Backup Manager converts everything into .ciso files for nintendont so I was just wondering. RVZ files are smaller so I'm guessing they are compressed in some way, would this affect them if they weren't done with DMtoolbox?

Forgive me if these are dumb questions. I just want to understand all of the terminologies and if I'm doing things right.

Nintendont supports games compressed through various means. DMtoolbox is an older method (circa DIOS MIOS era, before Nintendont) but it's not the only compatible way to compress.

RVZ is not compatible with Nintendont on physical Wii hardware. It's not the same as ciso.

The compression I use for Gamecube games via Nintendont is nkit.iso.
