QUESTION #5 - What's the maximum size SD card that can be used in the 3DS? Is there a limit?

ANSWER - Every system comes with a 2GB SD memory card (though owners can provide whatever size they like). That's not answering the question at all.

You have to read the whole thing:

Like you, I thought the same thing before I reread it.

Didn't we know most of this stuff already?
Not all of it.

What confuses me is the coins. Does that mean we don't need to get points and get these coins instead, or are the coins for something totally different?

The question I want answered is 'Is DOA Dimensions still a launch title for the UK?'. Game lists it as launch, Gamefaqs say the date's still the 25th, but the US date has changed to the 17th of May. Is it just the US version being delayed or have the dates just not changed for the UK version yet?

Also launch dates for Zelda, Starfox, Kid Icarus, Resident Evil, Mario Kart and Chocobo Racing plz.

I like the online friends list feature. Apparently it lets you join a game their in too, right from the 3DS menu. Maybe Wi-Fi won't be so bad after all. I mean, we already have the whole friend code issue minimized (Only one friend code needed per 3DS).

QUESTION #11 - How many megapixels are the 3DS cameras? Is it theoretically possible to record video – in 3D?

ANSWER - The camera resolution is the same as the screen resolution: 640x480.

since when does the 3DS have 640x480 for screen resolution?

I had the same question...

Certainly not in a straightforward manner; I don't like the way they skirt around proper answers.

It supports WPA and WPA2, but not WEP? How does it play DS games on multiplayer?
tongue.gif
It does support WEP.
They didn't specify that it supported unencrypted networks either, but it will.
Unless they don't count WEP as "security" anymore.

QUESTION #1 - If I'm playing Mario Kart on my 3DS, can I play the game with other players if they are using standard DS systems? Will the 3DS support multiplayer DS games in general?

ANSWER - Yes.

QUESTION #3 - Could a developer conceivably use the MP3 playback concept to allow users to have custom game soundtracks?

ANSWER - The system is capable of doing that, though it will be up to each individual developer to decide whether to allow it.

Awesome! Cannot wait for this. 6 weeks left!

How is "owners can provide whatever size they like," not an answer?

Apparently 3DS camera photo's look more crisp compared to the DSi ones even though they are both 0.3MP
That's 'cos the resolution of the DSi is much lower. The 3DS is capable of showing the photos as they should look.

QUESTION #16 - Are you able to message your friends in addition to seeing what games they are playing?

ANSWER - We do not have anything to announce at this time.

it seems interesting tht many features will be added after the console is released... maybe they want an early update from ppl to check who has bought it and what is the situation with their handheld
its become like programming, so many inbuilt features, u just have to think about how u will use it

Because it looks better than "No, but maybe if we ever get around to it in a future update."?

WPA/WPA2/WEP has NOTHING to do with multiplayer games, but the encryption a router (or other wireless device) uses when transmitting data. Wi-Fi is Wi-Fi, whether it's encrypted or not.

I'm sure that it'll support WEP, but if the router is WPA/WPA2, well...you're screwed if you're the DS owner, since it won't be able to communicate for online play. You can play via Local Wireless though.

ANSWER - Nintendo 3DS does not record video at present. However, Mr. Miyamoto has stated that recording 3D video is one of his ambitions for the product moving forward.

ANSWER - We do not have anything to announce at this time.

seems like they are giving this stupid answer everytime they really mean NO.

Nintendo really suck ass for these daft answers. Just say no if we cant do something.

Nothing to announce at this time = no plans, present or future.

Might not buy it now since i really wanted video chat and in game messaging.

Game messaging, at least voice chat should standard, if nintendo doesn't add this I will be very sad. Part of me thinks this will be included, nintendo wants you to take the 3DS everywhere and communicate with your friends on the go. Does nintendo expect you to stay on the computer to arrange online play, if nintendo wants to encourage us to take the 3DS out then game messaging should be added.
