Modify any Wii 4.2 & below, aka the simplistic mod

so if we do those steps, on for example an old 3.1e system, we have all ios's latest (and where needed patched) ?
or will there be still some old version IOSs in place ?? (that is what i mean, wanna get in same condition as after the official online 4.1 update)
