Been waiting for this since it released in 2011 - I can't believe after all these years I'm still looking forward to DS games. You're doing gods work. I think this was the last big one I wanted translated.
so, we have jap. inazuma eleven 3, luminous arc 3, tales of hearts (near 60% completed), but ni no kuni one of the best ds game, may be #1 :D

I don't think they can give an estimate about how much there is left because they don't know if there's a problem until they find it.

Quotes from Anjiera
"... I might be a bit slower on posting here for the next couple of weeks. Don't worry, though, as we're still making progress."
"Lots of stuff to clean up, but making good progress."
Quotes from Zkarts
"not moving noticeably, but we're narrowing our focus to areas that were translated before all the terms were nailed down so the % done is not accurate for what we'll consider a release-ready text"
"...we have to check everything in-game to make sure there are no subtle glitches after image import"
"No more progress %, last changes will be small and will not change the % a lot."

"Don't expect a release in next few days or weeks. This project is not dead, even if there's no new activity in that thread."

An admirable job. I once tried to translate a game to Korean and failed - I can't imagine how many efforts they have put into this project for years. I really appreciate.

How does this translation work? I replaced the characters from the spanish version but the game won't run on desmume. Not even if I replace character for character, keeping the size the same. Is there some kind of checksum or something? If so how does that work?

@SylverReZ, I dislike the kind of drm where you have to play single player games online all the time bc of some verification bs

@Xdqwerty, Don't use games that have Easy Anti-Cheat as its been exploited many times.

@SylverReZ, I also heard one of the Prince of Persia games was so unfinished that it required the "24/7 online" drm so a puzzle could be done and the game could be finished. And that when the Ubisoft servers were closed the (cracked) game was impossible to finish or something like that
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@Xdqwerty, That's extra scummy. Ubisoft nowadays ship out incomplete games like Skull and Bones which was being worked on for nearly a decade now.

@SylverReZ, i think they have been doing that since late 2000s

Either that or their old games were unfinished aswell but we can't notice it

I like that games can be fixed after the fact, hate that it's being abused via beta tests... And DLC... I was a 7800 owner back in the day and loved Impossible Mission, turns out I couldn't beat it because it was actually impossible lol
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I never knew about it at the time but a fixed version was available but you had to mail in your broken copy lol
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
So that version is semi rare
