"Newer" is funnier than "new"...Here's my contribution! Don't have any skills to participate more on this legitimate project which would extend a great but too short game...good luck

If you sit around and talk about what the best title screen logo would be you will never come up with a decent hack. Stop focusing on the stupid stuff and actually get into the level design, texturing, and model hacking...
Hey, guy. It's nice what you say, but there's nothing we really can do at the moment.

Level design? We need the editor.
Texturing? We know how to do that already.
Model Hacking? No.

So we're doing what we can, quite possibly, the first thing we'll do will be a new title screen.

Really? can you show me a background texture hack then? Or a level ground texture hack?

edit: Sorry, did it already. Its a small one but ok I think for the moment.

Hi guys!

I'll be here to help you guys out with things concerning textures/sprites/models. I'll be posting a tutorial regarding custom textures and models on the team forum soon.

Looking forward to working with you guys!

Just a bit better picture. Look at the background
That's awesome...It would easily allow the team to set certain levels at night (I'd REALLY like that) and at least make a somewhat believable world in space...
Also, being able to remodel world maps without changing the actual paths should be more than sufficient for this project, I think.

I'd love to help... but I'm not proud of my level design skills

Great idea though, can't wait to see (edit: more) progress!

Just my 2 cents but would this title sum up the upcoming and hopefully endless releases???

Thanks for the contribution! Although we've more or less decided on the name being "Newer Super Mario Bros. Wii", feel free to post this idea in the new forum:

Did you join the forum, benny? I thought I saw your name somewhere over there...

someone should make every stage a ghost house type level and call it "Luigi's Mansion 2" hahahah
A similar idea is definitely in the works; a full Ghost world, with a huge ghost mansion along the way (not necessarily Luigi's though, I don't think), culminating in a SUNKEN AIRSHIP (complete with underwater version of the famous Airship theme)!

Pffft, you'll do fine, I'm sure your contributions will be more than helpful, especially if Reggie! is as useful as it sounds. Have you joined yet?

to tell you the truth.
I don't like the bevel so much. Tried that also but I think it makes it look like a cheap photoshop logo.
The innershadow is nice but also a bit standard.
Try toning down the shadow behind te shadow. Now it look like its one big hard shadow with a little blur.

i think the topic should be renamed to; "Newer Super Mario Bros. Wii 2 Plus: The Lost Levels, a fanmade "sequel" not a remake"

I don't think it will all fit on the title screen, not readable anyways.

Plus, I'm sure there will be a thousand other little groups pop up that will do that
