so all I'm asking if this fix of the main.dol will enable me to play the game backup from the dvd

and if the patch i posted is the correct way to go about this ?

im asking for help not sarcasm

just wanna know becasue i dont want to mess with a softmod why would i if all games to this point work ?
wouldn't u agree that it would be a waste of my time to research all the info for softmod if i don't need it ?

You will need the patched main.dol with IOS53 and 70 Trucha patched.

I have a loader, but the whole reason I want the ntsc is so i can use the modchip to play through the disc channel. Isn't cIOS for those without a modchip?
And what's hermes?

i'm on 3.2U and using USB loader cfg47 (cios249rev13)... it won't load... says i have to eject disc and check operations manual... i have an unpatched (i think) NTSC ver...

do i need rev14 or rev15 of cios249? or the cfg47 usb loader fix only works for PAL? or another setting is needed?

i also tried 222/223 - mload/yal.. and none work...

Is there any special IOS that this game needs (as a retail disc)? I just want to have everything up to snuff before I buy it since I don't allow disc updates.

thank you jakejm79. i don't know how hex editing works or making codes for ocarina. i saw ur posts b4 regarding what value to change this and that and thought to give it a try out of luck try to make a .gct but it doesn't work. what did u put in ur txt file? mines was this.

Got it running now under 3.2E by updating IOS53 to IOS53-64-v5406, installing cIOSrev14 and updating USBLoader GX to the latest rev828. Neogamma R7 works as well.

GCTEdit c1.0 by ChiboSempai. The code is in the TXT output. And don't worry, it always outputs as Smash Bros. for all games, but you only have to edit that in a TXT editor.

Please help me , i have 3.2E , wiikey i think a fake one, But , i get the error after a while playing with a non fixed iso , and with a fixed iso , (by nitro) , in Geck'OS doesnt read, gets stuck on Loading DVD Tittle...

If you have no modchip then USB loader or Neogamma via SD is your only option (unless something has changed)

i just installed cios249 rev15... NSMBW-NTSC worked (at least it booted) but when i started 1-2 it gave an error.... says to eject disc...

EDIT: i have a clean version.. do i have to patch the main.dol? is it the same with the PAL version? (the method, that is.. and code)

So to get my game working on Drivekey I need rev15 and uloader? I did everything what the guide says but it's just green screen. Is this because of 4.2E?

Can someone help?

I was able to get the game working on softmod, through USB using Coverfloader. Wasn't working at first, but turned on error 002 fix within Coverfloader. Was then able to play the game, but first try using 2 players got a no disc error after completing level 1-1. 2nd time got same error but midway through level 1-2.

What else do I need to do to be able to play the game with no problems?

Getting green screen and error, tried both patched and unpatched NTSC versions :/

Am I missing a IOS or something? I'm using a disc, have no big SDs or usb drives to test USB loader.
