Of course lives are there. lol. I meant the "mechanic" of getting an extra life for every 100 coins. Is that still there, or no?

Jerk checking in... only joking. I think most people will go for the physical option because as it turns out, it's actually cheaper in some stores.. and you have the option to resell, unless Nintendo dropped the digital prices, (which they wont).

Download version because Mario is more of a pick up and play game and it woud be nice to have access to it all the time on the system.

All 1-up mushrooms are replaced with Gold mushrooms which serves for coin collecting in coin rush mode,

I will say this and I will say this AGAIN. You do NOT earn lives while playing coin rush mode.

I spoiler-ed it because the game was less than a year old and I didn't want to, well, spoil it for anyone who hasn't played it.

And I'm on the fence... I'll almost certainly buy this game eventually. Just not sure whether or not I'll buy it anytime soon.

Yeah... it's hard for me to justify buying any games right now honestly, since I'm having so much fun playing through the Mega Man X series for the first time (almost done with X2, and 8 more to go after that, including the Xtreme duo!)

I just figured out how to play backups on my Wii the right way (I KNOW. IM SLLLOOOOOWWWW) so im going crazy with MH Tri and Super Paper Mario. I also got Brawl going right now so I can play some Brawl mods. Oh well, maybe the Wii U version.

I think the game will be way too easy, and the recycled visuals/music will probably put me off.
that said, I'm really up for a new mario game, just wish they spent a little time being more creative.

This is my favorite series of games.
The X4 is the best in my opinion.
X5 is also very good.
There is a remake of Megaman X for PSP called Megaman Marverick Hunter X.
X6 is shit, X7 even worse, X8 is ok.
X, X2 and X3 are very good, especially X3, wich has golden armor, wich is outstanding.

X4, X4 and X6 have Ultimate armor for X
and Black Zero, both the best for each.
