What is the most legal way to distribute this? Maybe a DIFF?
They're all pretty much the same in terms of legality...
Easiest way would probably be an XDelta Patch.
It's got a nice GUI interface now.

Also... I noticed the "O"s edge has sort of a rough edge.
I cleaned it up since I can be a bit of a perfectionist at times...

Will you change the graphics?? to look like of 8 bytes, but with 3d graphics.
The game doesn't have any 8-bit (or 1 byte) graphics so an 8-bit title would look out of place.

Personally, I like the textures that are already in the game.

Is there anyone that would like to help me place the Star Coins? I am not very good at that kind of stuff... I already have a couple placed, but not many... I need the star coins in the levels so you can unlock "1-A" which I will be using to re-create "2-2".

I need some help with xDelta... I keep getting "xd3_invalid_input" everytime I try to apply the patch. Are there any alternatives that can handle different-sized files? If so, please let me know... Also, is there an xDelta GUI for Windows???

Not sure what you mean by "different-sized files"..
If you mean trimmed, you should use an untrimmed ROM as the original.

Here's the XDeltaUI I found: http://filetrip.net/f6934-xdelta-UI.html
It's a little different than the one I recall, but it seems more polished, so it might just be a new version.

Any problems you have with xdelta are probably due to not putting files in the right order... I ran into that problem at first when working on the Ragnarok DS project too. The xdelta UI would have helped me out before I ended up writing a custom batch file for it.

When you distribute the patch, make sure you include the patch (typically ".xdelta"), the xdelta.exe and the xdeltaUI.exe so that people don't have to go hunting for the patching app.
And mirrors! People like mirrors for downloads

I personally use MediaFire, and you should see about adding it to FileTrip since that seems to be the new GBAtemp download section.

I hope this will turn out good, i can't watch the videos my internet is slow tonight.
Good luck.

Hopefully this will get me to play NSMB again

You should also change the header info so it shows "New Retro Mario Bros." as the title.
Maybe have a different icon too.

Any ETA on this?

Oh and Just a tip/suggestion, I think the castle flags (at least in the first level) are too close to the jump off point or that the Jumping in NSMB is a bit longer than in the original SMB games.

OK, I think that I will put the castle's level structure at the tower and fight Bowser Jr. instead of Bowser. Then on the rest of the W1 Levels, I will make SMB's W2 Levels! Do you guys like that idea?
Sounds good to me.
Fighting the same Bowser in the castles over and over was kinda 'meh', and I always liked the idea of Koopa Kids (from Super Mario World).

Also if you can play it on NO$GBA, you can use something like hypercam to record the game play as I did in my RagnarokDS video

My computer is too slow to capture the screen and emulate the DS at the same time. I average at about 28% speed. W/O capture, I get 95-102%

I will look at the flag in 1-1 and adjust if necessary (I will make it the same for all levels)

I used CamStudio, BTW.

EDIT: Fixed a couple Typos

Use Hypercam..I got problem on Camstudio too..hypercam should fix your problem

I got it working. I just needed to disable AERO

That thing takes SOOO much processing... I went from ~27% to ~95% speed by disabling it!

BTW: No ETA, but I will update the download after each "World" is completed
