    I have been trying to texture hack NSMB and i have been having a bit of progress, if this becomes a reality, i could help you on your project with retro textures.

    Thank you for the offer, VILE, I will keep in touch with you once I figure out this Bowser problem... As long as I don't have to change every little platform... again... I changed the texture of the platforms and stuff in 1-Castle, and I had to change EVERY LITTLE THING!!!!!



    ANY HELP IS APPRECIATED!!!!!!!!!!!


    EDIT: Also, I accomplished in one week what the NRMB Team took like 4-5 weeks to accomplish (it took one week (exactly 6 days, 21 hrs, 12 minutes, and 3 seconds) to make 1-1, 1-2, and 1-3)

    good job man!

    just a suggestion if the bowser problem cannot be solved.
    it would be just as cool if it's not recreated 1:1, so my suggestion would be to put bowser in a different level or make another unique challenge instead of fighting bowser.

    the thing is they stopped because they couldn't recreate it 100% true to the original. but when 90% of the levels are intact, i wouldn't even mind having no bowser at all (as these fights have always been the least of the challenge)

    OK, I think that I will put the castle's level structure at the tower and fight Bowser Jr. instead of Bowser. Then on the rest of the W1 Levels, I will make SMB's W2 Levels! Do you guys like that idea?

    EDIT: Made myself more clear.

    Just to let you know, once Reggie! comes out, I will also be doing this same project on it! Then, we will have New Retro Mario Bros, AND New Retro Mario Bros. Wii !!!!!

    Oh and Just a tip/suggestion, I think the castle flags (at least in the first level) are too close to the jump off point or that the Jumping in NSMB is a bit longer than in the original SMB games.

    Sounds good to me.
    Fighting the same Bowser in the castles over and over was kinda 'meh', and I always liked the idea of Koopa Kids (from Super Mario World).

    Also if you can play it on NO$GBA, you can use something like hypercam to record the game play as I did in my RagnarokDS video

    My computer is too slow to capture the screen and emulate the DS at the same time. I average at about 28% speed. W/O capture, I get 95-102%

    I will look at the flag in 1-1 and adjust if necessary (I will make it the same for all levels)

    I used CamStudio, BTW.

    EDIT: Fixed a couple Typos

    Like the one you have in your sig? I'm pretty decent with Photoshop, so I can give it a shot.

    Yes, the one in my sig... It is also on the first post. If you have a few extra minutes, I would greatly appreciate it! The one I made took about 10 minutes. I am going for the original logo look, but with RETRO instead of SUPER

    To be honest, it's very well made, and I really don't see anything that needed improvement other than the few things I did...
    1). Fixed up the "T" to make it less blurry and more 'clean' looking.
    2). Reduced the space around the "T" to make it even with other letters.
    3). Lengthened the 'gap' of the "O" to look more like the larger one.
    4). Replaced the "R"s with shortened versions of the larger ones.

    What is the most legal way to distribute this? Maybe a DIFF?
