Nintendo seems to have found a niche in the mobile market, after the successes of titles like Miitomo, Fire Emblem Heroes, and Pokemon Go. Their latest project is to be called PokeLand, which is a toned-down, mobile-styled version of the Pokemon Rumble series. The game is currently in alpha testing, for Japan only, which starts today, and will run until June 9th. It features 134 different Pokemon, along with 52 different levels to explore. There's no word on if PokeLand will come west, at this time.

The pokemon company and nintendo are pretty much linked. It's pretty obvious they used and are using pokemon to test the mobile waters.
I will agree with you when it comes to games on Nintendo consoles. However, on mobile they act surprising different.

Nintendo first started getting invested into mobile with Super Mario Run, an auto-running platformer that only cost $10 first released for Apple phones and tablets in 2016 (2017 for android) Source

On the other hand, The Pokemon Company started getting inerested in mobile after they released their app "Pokemon Say Tap?" in 2011. Source

I would agree with you, but outside of consoles, The Pokemon tends to act alone.

Actually miitomi came first. And i still say they've been using the pokemon company to test if going mobile is even feasible. Don't forget that most of those pokemon apps weren't exactly successes. The first serious mobile game they made was the TCG online in 2014. And after that shuffle in 2015.

I'd like to remind you that this is The Pokemon Company's doing. They've been making apps for mobile way longer than Nintendo has as well.

Nintendo is still new to the mobile market but Pokemon, they're well aware of how this market works...
Oh yeah...I guess your right man, thanks for the info :P

it's not reasonable for all of the games, like pokemon go, but if they do start making more popular titles for phones i hope they will also release them for the switch/3ds as small eshop titles

they need to have a strong line up on the launch titles too. I think they should move metroid prime 4 to the next console because by now it has been quite a while and there's no release date scheduled yet

well as far as metroid prime 4 is concerned, the next system probably is similar enough to the current gen they can probably easily just slap it onto a next gen cart and call it good :P
