I read the first page of this thread last night and got the impression it was alright to update GW emunand. Next day I did and rom loading doesn't work. Check the thread and it's confirmed. I should've stayed on top of this thread.

You know what happens when you assume... You put an ass before you and me.

Doesn't that mainly come into play when actually use the word though? Implying to assume, and using the word assume change the the whole impact of whatever you call that saying. Are they called idioms?

I'm getting the impression the girl at the bar is into me...
I'm assuming the girl at the bar is into me...

Either way you could end up with a drink in your face. And I'm no English professor, but you may be right haha.

Yeah, I wasn't arguing that the user wasn't assuming something. They just didn't use the word. And really I am just bored.

It's not recommended? First of all, EVERYONE should have at least one backup of their emuNAND. To everybody reading this who has a working emuNAND and hasn't backed it up... GO AND BACK IT UP RIGHT NOW! Download emuNAND Tool 1.03 and insert your SD card and then press "extract emuNAND." Save that to your PC and don't delete it. Should anything ever go wrong, you can inject it again. It's not risky, and is HIGHLY recommended if you have issues because you screwed something up.

You could even keep an older, known good emuNAND version on a spare SD card, then you'd only have to swap cards to get back to working state.

Or sit there and for the update while thinking about the next time, not updating until a release from the team that created your flash card

I imagine it will be done with updates a while after the next gen handheld is released, just like the DSi is now done with updates.
EDIT: It's also kinda like how now that the Wii U is released, there aren't any Wii updates.
That is why the PSP got an update a couple months back. XD

Yes, BUT:
- Sony is still selling a lot of PSP games because of the PSP Emulator on the VITA, which only works through the Playstation Store
- Sony would have to deal with a lot of angry customers if they booted up their real PSPs, went to the store to (re)download something, and were told they'd need a non-existent firmware update.

There's nothing real in that update, it's a bit like Nintendo's updates except different verbiage: "System software stability during use of some features has been improved."

Okay, cool.
The point I was making was that if he was going to wait for the 3DS to stop getting updates to do something that would only prevent his 3DS from getting bricked (which was his fear). he would be waiting a awful long time

F*ck me I knew my instincts were correct on coming here first before I updated... Yeah I'm on GW mode... Couldn't I just downgrade it from GW mode?

to 4.5?

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

what if we tried using 9.2-9.7's browser? Inject it thru QR and see if we can launch GW thru that with working title loader?

@SylverReZ, I also heard one of the Prince of Persia games was so unfinished that it required the "24/7 online" drm so a puzzle could be done and the game could be finished. And that when the Ubisoft servers were closed the (cracked) game was impossible to finish or something like that
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@Xdqwerty, That's extra scummy. Ubisoft nowadays ship out incomplete games like Skull and Bones which was being worked on for nearly a decade now.

Either that or their old games were unfinished aswell but we can't notice it

I like that games can be fixed after the fact, hate that it's being abused via beta tests... And DLC... I was a 7800 owner back in the day and loved Impossible Mission, turns out I couldn't beat it because it was actually impossible lol
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I never knew about it at the time but a fixed version was available but you had to mail in your broken copy lol
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
So that version is semi rare
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
@Psionic Roshambo, I have a rom of the ds version of impossible mission
