Features in the first version (0.1):
- (almost) everything also in whiite linux (I stripped a few things to save some space)
- working Xorg, using nuvalo's 'cube' driver (as discussed here).
- Fluxbox windowmanager
- wiimote input (libcwiid + fastsync patch)
- SMB / CIFS support (useful for mounting your media NAS)
- some useful apps preinstalled (mplayer, vlc, opera, firefox)
- a nice look & feel
- uses less than 512M on disk

New features in xwhiite 0.2:
- VNC server
- VNC client
- Microsoft remote desktop client
- iPod integration via gtkpod: use your wii+ipod as jukebox!
- on-screen keyboard
- swap enabled (32MB - uses a local swapfile included in the package, no need to setup an extra partition)
- sshfs support
- a bunch of other small improvements and cleanups. The entire dist still fits on a 512MB SD card.

C64 Emulator features:

-------------------
Full 1541 emulation! This is the real deal and will probably load anything you throw at it!
Full SID emulation! It sounds wonderfull on the WII's sound hardware too!
WIIMOTE support!
Full keyboard support except for keys 2345679 and 0! (You have 8 and 1 for doing ,8,1! I had to use the others!)

TO DO:
------------
Fullscreen mode. Unfortuanently this version does not support fullscreen mode.
Paddle support.
C=64 mouse support.
Emulate other Commodore machines in the V.I.C.E. suite. (Currently only the C=64 is emulated.)

CONTROLS:
--------------------
HOLD ALT AND HIT J TO TOGGLE BETWEEN JOYPORTS.
HOLD ALT AND HIT W TO TOGGLE WARP MODE ON/OFF.
HOLD ALT AND HIT M TO TOGGLE MOUSE CURSOR ON/OFF.
D-PAD: MOVE (HOLD WIIMOTE SIDEWAYS!)
1: BUTTON
WIIMOTE AIMED AT SCREEN: MOVE MOUSE CURSOR
A: LEFT MOUSE BUTTON
B: RIGHT MOUSE BUTTON
ESC: RUN/STOP
PAGE UP: RESTORE

This is currently what is featured in xwhiite for the c64 emulator as well... Some say that the sdhc will work as well.. maybe you will be the 1st, FGOD?!

Some of those features have been taken out to get the c64 in.. I think they are just the apps that were featured... because when I go to the flux menu it just shows the emulator... I think it also includes the Atari 2600 emu as well...

Good luck and always be safe when messing about with Homebrew.

Tested this today,

It was very nice! Thanks MentalDominance!

Only drawbacks,
At the first boot, wiimote doesn't get synced... and later in my second try wiimote synced... pressed 1 and 2 on boot if it got any remedy...

Obvious fullscreen not available... it may not be such a bad case for those on lcd tvs who can easily zoom the image on screen...

Possibly due to linux kernel I used to boot it screen had some glitches... mouse icon leaved trail and so... No one mentioned this possibly I'm using the wrong kernel...

Overall, after cleaning the little annoyances it should be at the hands of every c64 enthusiast

i got it working on a sdhc card partitioned in 2 parts of 2gb. one fat32 and one ext3. but as good as this is, it sucks that you need a usb keyboard for this, as not everybody has an usb keyboard, and even if they have, not everybody wants a keyboard with cord, on their wireless wii's...

I finally got it working on my Wii yesterday. While Im impressed to see a working C64 emulator on my Wii, I really didnt like having to look at a small window on my TV to play the games. I was wondering if there was a way to at least make the window bigger, at least until full screen is possible.
