It isn't the button labels that are the issues, but the placement of course.
And to everyone who said it before, I did not grow up on N64, I grew up on NES and it is there that I started to learn the control scheme I am talking about. The tip of my thumb would be on B and I would rock the knuckle part of my thumb to press A. The SNES and N64 ony made the angle more comfortable. But the DS changed that by moving the buttons to slope the opposite way, and make that method virtually impossible.
