Have there been any recent issue with using the latest rev of neek2o? I'm still on rev58 and I know the concept of don't fix what isn't broken.

LoL well last I read about an issue was with rev64 where people where having problems loading some games? I can't remember the complaint; so there have been no known issues with the recent rev69?

As far as i know, the issues are still there, some games won't load with rev64 and rev69, but i'll bet that the same games have issues with rev58 too, If not i'd like to know the games that won't load in r64 but do in r58.

Anyway, r69 does have a major advantage, there is a region free hack with it that makes it possible to play almost every game now even if it normally playes with another region nand. Also it now has an autoboot function, so basically this means priiloader is obsolete.

If you don't know of a game that runs in r58 but not in r64, then look at the google code issue page and try one of the games mentioned there..

From personal experience, i find r69 very stable..

For info, I used ModMii (5.0.0) last night and for some reason it pulled down r64 which I thought was odd seeing as 69 is on the googlecode page...

Hi shortz1994, this is to my opinion a very good issue for the neek2o google code page.

So I've been trying to get this up and running, but every attempt thus far has been painfully unsuccessful (I can't seem to get vanilla Sneek to work either). Whenever I use the neek2o channel, a red box with text flashes on the screen (far too quickly to read), the screen goes black, and then several minutes later the Wii's disk light starts flashing once every second or two.

I have tried:

1) 3 of the 4 different neek variations (I don't think I've tried Sneek + di yet)
2) Reformatting my HDD, twice (Primary, Active, 32 KB Cluster Size, once with ModMii's formatter, once with EASEUS's)
3) Using my decrypted NAND backup instead of a ModMii generated NAND
4) Copying the cert.sys file from the backup into the ModMii created one
5) While I've tried several different fresh ModMii NANDs, most have had every install option selected (I left out the system channels and/or Joyflow once or twice).
6) The SD card and HDD are known good for homebrew and backups - neek is the first thing they've really failed to work with.

For what it's worth, I'm running 4.3U with Bootmii on Boot2 with Priiloader installed on my real NAND. My apologies if this is a common issue, but I skimmed the thread and didn't see anyone with a similar issue that wasn't fixed by things I've already tried.

Which file are you using to boot into neek2o? nswitch's boot.dol does not require you to have bootmii folder in sd:\ and while nboot's .dol does require this folder. Also I know you mentioned Sneek+DI but Sneek and Neek2o are not compatible with the same setup; I believe this is something to do with how the emu-nand is setup I may be wrong here as I have not kept up with the issue about the two seeing as neek2o works perfect for me.

Are you using Crediars SNEEKinstaller or ModMii to build neek2o?
You can go to http://code.google.com/p/sneek/downloads/list and download the latest SNEEKinstallerv0.7a but I found this to be unreliable and obtain black screens when trying to boot into neek2o after compiling with it but you can goto my SkyDrive or MediaFire public link and download SNEEKinstallerv0.6c which I have used to compile all neek2o rev.

If you prefer to use ModMii remember neek2o is a mod of Uneek so it's best to check those setting and when making a neek2o nand/setup with ModMii; also depending on if your using nswitch or nboot you can just delete the bootmii folder ModMii creates for you.

O.K. first thing is first download either SNEEKinstallerv0.7a from the code.google page or SNEEKinstallerv0.6c from either link in my signature.
  1. extract SNEEKinstallerv0.?? to the root of your hdd; so I have mine setup like this C:\\SNEEKInstallerv0.6c-cred\ if you cannot extract to the root of your hdd then extract anywhere and copy it into the root of your C:\\ drive.
  2. you can run "re-create [SD+USB] folders.bat" which will delete your SD and USB folders and recreat them so you do no have to worry about having old remnants of previous built neek2o files if this does not work you can try running as Admin or just right click both folders SD and USB and delete them and then create two new folders with the same names.
  3. Run SneekInstaller.exe
  4. the app should already be setup to read sneek files from "C:\SNEEKInstallerv0.6c-cred\sneekfiles" and ios files from "C:\SNEEKInstallerv0.6c-cred\iosfiles" if you did the setup like I have SD and USB device are setup for SD and USB folders so all you will have to do is copy over the contents of those folders to the root of your SD and USB drive corressponding with the named folder.
  5. keep SneekInstaller.exe running and goto http://code.google.com/p/custom-di/downloads/list and download neek2o-rev69.zip and extract the contents of that folder to "C:\SNEEKInstallerv0.6c-cred\sneekfiles" it will ask you to overwrite; just do so cause those are old files of neek2o rev58 and you want the latest build.
  6. all you need to do now is click install SNEEK button on SneekInstaller.exe
  7. click check sneek install you should get the following message displaying
  • Found
  • Found
  • Correct
  • Found
  • Correct
Now just copy the contents of SD to the root of SD and the contents of USB to the root of USB. Font.bin is in the download I have so you do not need to go find it.

ModMii is pretty simple to use and just as easy this is how I always get my copies of neek2o; hope it helps.

Between each attempt I completely deleted all Sneek-related files from my SD card, USB HDD, and from the Copy_to_SD/USB folders to start fresh (including all PostLoader Files, BootMii files if altered, etc.). My attempts at using neek2o were all for NANDs stored in the NANDs folder accessed via the nswitch channel installed with MMM from the WAD provided by ModMii.

My attempt at vanilla Sneek was accessed by booting with the altered BootMii, with the NAND files stored on the SD card's root. I did use the v 0.7a of the installer to build that Sneek, though. I'll try the method you suggested and then update this post with what happens.

Update: Still nothing, even after following the directions exactly. I'll try a different SD card and a USB flash drive tomorrow just to see if it's a simple compatibility error.

Hi All ,
I finally got around to using neek2o in anger over Christmas having got it set up and running correctly back in November. All seems pretty good so far, however I've encountered an issue playing Zelda Skyward sword, where the game hangs at a specific point which I believe is down to the wbfs file being split as the issue doesn't occur when using WiiFlow via real nand.

As far as I can tell, I've got the folders set up correctly, I've used Wii backup manager to copy the data to my HDD using the naming style of GameID and files stored in separate folders, giving me SOUP01.wbfs and SOUP01.wbf1 in usb:/wbfs/SOUP01. The WBFS split is set to 4 GB. Is this issue something I'm doing wrong (which I think is likely) or a bug in neek2o (which seems unlikely as it appears to work for everyone else).

On a related note, I was trying to use Savegame Manager GX to copy the same data from emu to real Nand, but it keeps failing as do a few other homebrew apps, do I need a specific cIOS to make these work, currently I've only got 249 that ModMii added for me

why don't you scrub your file? i have skyward sword, an it's only one file.(scrubbed). you must have every thing on the file for it to be split.( updates an all the other fillers they put on disc).
try scrubbing the file first then load it.

As an update, it appears that my HDD wasn't fast enough for uneek (which must mean that I just botched my Sneek install somewhere). I haven't had issues with the drive in the past, but switching to my USB Flash drive was enough to get uneek working... sorta. It seems to freeze whenever I try to save Priiloader settings on the emuNAND, but it's at least working.
