Ok. I noticed I'm not able to put cheats for games in my M3 DS REAL, but I really want to. So, here's where I need the help. I need some program or explanation on how to put cheats on my M3.

Well, help is pretty much appreciated.

    Thanks,
    ~Jos

You don't need any programs, all you have to do is download Narin's cheat database and put it in the SYSTEM folder of your card.

But if you want to patch codes directly into a ROM, use DSATM. Here are the directions:

    1. Create a text file, and paste your cheats into it using the format below. Here are some sample codes what you would paste in a text file for Dragon Quest V:
    Code:
    [Protection Bypass Cheat]
    0200819C E3A00000
    020081A0 E12FFF1E

    [Complete Map]
    94000130 FFFB0000
    C0000000 00000007
    020D4488 00000000
    DC000000 00000004
    D2000000 00000000

    [Critical Hit]
    0203A918 2002D010
    94000130 FDFF0000
    0203A918 200146C0
    D0000000 00000000

    [Experience x4]
    0200CF94 8981826A
    1200CF98 00000089
Save the text file and call it whatever you want. Some other instructions for DSATM say to add the game ID to the text file, but you do not have to do this (so don't even worry about the game ID if you don't know what it is, it's not important).

    2. Open DSATM, and choose your ROM where it says "DS Game."

    3. Browse to the text file you just created where it says "Cheat.txt."

    4. Where it says "Save As," name the ROM whatever you want.

    5. Don't worry about the other options, and just click "Autopatch Game!"

Thanks. I will try it out later this day, since I have to study [IMG]

If it works, I won't post again, if it doesn't, I'll make another post.

Following the process of the second thing given, I open the NDS ROM I autopatched and go to the cheat section of it but no cheat appears. What's happening?

Do I have to have the .txt from Notepad and the ROM inside the folder I extracted?

Nvm. It works. Thanks a lot!

Yeah, sorry I wasn't more clear earlier. If you patch the codes directly into the ROM, you don't need to go to the cheat section (NDS settings) because the cheats are already in the ROM.

If you want to use cheats through the NDS settings, just put the cheat database in the SYSTEM folder. If you do that, you won't need to use DSATM.

I put the cheat database and didn't work (probably because it isn't the latest version).

But the DSATM works fine with me. So everything is good thanks to you which I appreciate.

Did you unzip the database and put the cheat.db inside the SYSTEM folder?

    Yup.

I unzipped, dragged the .db to the system folder and began the M3 DS REAL. I wasn't able to type/put any cheats.

Nevermind, it seems my head was somewhere else than to what I was really supposed to do. I dragged the entire folder.

Well, all I have to say is that thanks in general and for your patience.
