Got my ez 3 in 1 flash V in the mail the other day and blah blah blah

My problem: NDStation works but ExpLoader doesn't. When running ExpLoader (v.58) it just says slot2 expansion pack not found (I've searched and searched but couldn't find a solution for this.. just explanations)[also tried 3in1 Expansion Pack Tool v1.9 and same thing is said].

I'm just confused as to why using the NDStation conversion can detect the slot2 but the ExpLoader cannot. I'm content with the NDStation and all except the fact that it won't sleep, idle, standby, or whatever term used for what happens when closing the DS. Does playing roms with the ExpLoader go into standby when the DS is closed?

Does anyone know why this might be happening with these 2 programs?

Also, does anyone know a way to get the NDStation roms to go into standby mode? I'm going to try the GBA Tool Advance to change the sleep config thingy then converting those GBA files to NDS to see if that works.

[Using a TTDS slot1 with 2gb Kingston MicroSD]
[Also have not done any DLDI patcher since I do not know how it works and I think the 3in1 does it for you]

Anyone help would be appreciated regarding the ExpLoader detecting a slot2 issue!

Thanks!

I have a similar problem.

I can get ExpLoader to work fine but I can't get Rudolph's 3in1 Expansion or Backup tool to work. (Says the 3in1 isn't found)

One thing that just occurred to me.... The sound on the 2600 sucked less back then the harsh sound we hear now is from infinitely better speakers we have now, back when the 2600 was new speakers produced a almost muffled sound, like CRTs made old graphics look slightly better.

I wonder if I could recommend that to some emulation devs that perhaps the sound could use some smoothing out to simulate those old TVs
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I think a few of the early systems could benefit from that, at least up to the 8 bit generation, by the 16 bit generation I think TVs had gotten a lot better in almost every way

It's old but it's the best firmware out for DS stuff
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
it says it only works for the original R4, R4i Gold (r4ids.cn), R4iDSN (r4idsn.com) and Acekard R.P.G.

Just give it a try, but honestly if you have a 3DS you can play DS games without a card just off the internal SD card

Slightly slower loading but a bit more convenient
