I convinced my Grandma, who had never to this point in her life played a video game, to try Wii Sports Bowling for a few frames. At first she was reluctant because she thought that if I got her to play she would be "hooked" and "addicted" to video games (she thinks the same thing about the internet), but I eventually got her to play. At first she didn't get it but she picked it up quickly and actually grew to like it.
However once she saw how much motion tracking the concole could do she started to worry and said "I don't think it's right that they know everything you are doing. They know if I move my wrist like this or like that.... that's not right. Next thing you know, they'll know when you're eating or going to the bathroom!" At which point my uncle interjected "Well Mom, you better get your tin-foil hat then or they'll read your mind too!"
