Then why not make a thurough check of the game look for typos etc. and then just move on?

I think I found the problem with skills. It was in the compression.
I left all the files uncompressed. Been testing for 15 minutes and it has not frozen once.
I'll upload a patch in minute.

Thanks for pointing that out. I just checked and the text starts a bit early, so the code cut it off...

Hmm... Hey, Noitora. I don't have time right now to check myself, so can you test my theory?
Insert some text into the story script longer than the japanese, but make sure the next text block begins on a hex multiple of 4 (00, 04, 08, or 0C). See if it still works like that.

I believe that the Spirit of Valor item should be Hero's Mark. Given, OG1 and 2 have the Steel Soul and Hero's Mark items, and given the translation I am very sure that those two über items which give a lot of bonuses are meant to be those two
