Homebrew Mplayer CE Youtube Options

Could somebody write a tutorial on how to change the youtube options on mplayer ce? I'm trying to sync up my account with mplayer but I have no idea what to edit in the menu.conf file

Ok this may seem Complicated but it's actually pretty easy

First open your menu.conf file and find this line

<cmdlist name="youtube" title="YouTube" ptr="<>" >

starting there delete everything down until you get to this line

<cmdlist name="open_ftp" title="Choose FTP Share" ptr="<>" >

then copy & paste everything in the codebox below to your menu.conf file

or if you haven't done any editing to your menu like creating custom menus or adding radio stations

and skip copy and pasting everything in the codebox above whichever you prefer

first things first whenever you see onscreen name
replace it with whatever you want to describe the stuff your watching
like music videos or anime or cute pets or i don't know you decide

ok now lets start adding

first up adding single videos in menu.conf replace /youtube video id /' with the id of the video
you want to watch example here's Wii64 Beta 1 Footage <a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=baoUvvzI1Z4" target="_blank">http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=baoUvvzI1Z4</a>
so replace /youtube video id /' with this /baoUvvzI1Z4/' easy enough

next adding channels in menu.conf replace =youtube channel name' with the user name
of the channel you want to watch example <a href="http://www.youtube.com/user/machinima" target="_blank">http://www.youtube.com/user/machinima</a>
so replace =youtube channel name' with =machinima' ok got it

next up your favorites Subscriptions & Uploads these are easy just scroll down to you find this

favorites Subscriptions & playlists are no longer maxed at 50 videos

and finally creating custom playlist menus
you know what to do editing "onscreen name"
but editing "set_menu " you can only use one word no spaces
if you use any spaces the menu won't work ok follow the example below

Thanks big time!!! Your tutorial really needs to be a sticky post. I hope the mods are reading it. Make it so! This tutorial really helped me bypass some of the stupid restrictions Youtube has when watching videos on the Wii. For Pete's fraking sake I'm using my Wii on a HDTV and Youtube doesnt give me access to high quality video from their site. How dumb is that?!

Is there any way to stop the playlist from auto playing. I would like to be able to select my video first before playing. Its kinda a pain to have to wait for a video to start, just to stop it then wait for the menu to pop up and the select the video.

Unfortunately i think its hard coded in mplayer itself to automatically start playing unless i
missed something obvious because i tried editing everything i could think of but nothing worked

Is there any way of just entering your Youtube Username and Password into the .conf file and Mplayer doing the rest? Like automatically getting subscribed videos, channels and Favourites?

Um...where in the menu.conf file do I add this line of code

its already in themplayer.conf not menu.conf

#Use this parameter to enable continuous play through a directory.
dir_play=1

just change that one
