Play MP3 1:1 on Gamma with cIOS249 rev7 and the read retry fix and you won't have to worry about IOS patching.

Beta has the blue border around the menu, and text on the bottom of the screen even said beta!

Gamma is all black with a silver and green logo.

I guess I don't have the gamma channel, just the homebrew channel dol...wow I feel like my whole world is turning upside down on me xD.

The channels wont update if you have the .dol on your SD, you need to delete and install the channel again, some people say that if you install the channel over the other, it will auto-update, but I don't use channels, so I'm not sure...!!!

BTW: I played MP3 on the beta loader with no problems at all, actually I've never played on Gamma (to many games now)..!!

Finally after 3 coasters, Mortal Kombat is working! It saved my profile and everything. Awesome!

By the way, I'm using Beta BUT I uninstalled the CIOS and installed CIOS 249 rev7. Also I use wiishizza to boot into my disks. Works great. I thought that I read somewhere that the main difference between Beta and Gamma was the CIOS rev.

Not to be a giant spoil-sport, but, I honestly think the "compatibility list" is a better idea than the incompatibility list.

Why?
Because the compatibility list provides a place where the game can be seen and verified to have worked for someone, and you don't end up with 8 pages of people posting that a certain game does not work (because they burned it wrong, or tried to patch it in some arcane way).

If you see that a game "works" for someone in that list, all you need do is figure out how they did it, or post a thread asking about how they did it here, rather than cluttering up a thread of "incompatibility" with a game that is only incompatible for you.

Also, if the game doesn't work, you can clearly see the game in the compatibility list, and a description of how or why it fails, right there... no need to wade through pages looking for possible solutions.

Anyway, not trying to rain on anyone's parade, but, collecting all the information in a centralized place is most likely the optimal method. Stick with the compatibility list, please.

i patch the red steel iso (ntsc) but the game freeze in the initial screen when it say LICENSED BY NINTENDO

edit: i realize that i use the ios patcher 1.0 instead the 1.1, maybe that's the problem.

i have trying to use the iso patcher v1.1 with no luck. as soon as the program starts i get the a problem has caused the program to stop error everytime. i am using vista home and i seem to get this error with most all command line programs. any ideas. thanks a bunch.

try a few things

• right click on the program and go to propertys and run the program in compadability mode winxpsp2
• vista locks out alot of things you may need to gain access to this program(im not to sure on how to get full controll of this)

also try running the patcher as admin (go to properties, compatibility tab and check the box that says something "always run this program as administrator"

thanks for the reply guys. i tried all of those sugestions even tried it in the super admin hidden account with no luck. whats funny is i have now tried the patcher on my other pc with xp service pack 3, a windows 2000, and a xp just reformatted with no luck. what the heck am i doing wrong? does it need the special "key" file with it or am i just a complete dumb ass. everytime the patcher, tried v1.0 and v1.1, starts then crashes. if i post the error report would that help any. thanks for the help.

Are you sure your iso is OK? Maybe redownload IOS patcher 1.1 or something. You don't need a 'key' file or anything like that, drag and drop the iso on the patcher executable should work.
