Interesting, it would be nice to have some homebrew software for running real benchmarks, Would be interesting to hear from Wanikiko for his reasoning in picking base 57 for the default over 56 (or any others).
I have always thought for a long time it would be interesting to have many cIOSes basically one for each base used. 236=36, 237=37, 238=38 and so on. And then with the help of maybe wiitdb or something, have the USB loader know what the original IOS the game called for and load the relevant cIOS based off that one, i.e. RB2 calls for IOS37 so load cISO237. While appearing more complicated, if the cIOS installer and USB Loaders were programmed with this in mine then it could be very streamlined.
Another idea would be to install the cIOS to the original IOS's slot, i.e. cIOS237 to IOS37 slot, while I understand this to be very dangerous (similar to the actions of DiscCorp) it may be a possible solution for IOS reloading games, since the IOS being asked to be reloaded would be the cIOS.
Anyway I agree with WiiPower, I think I will default to base56 and see play for a while and see what happens.
