So everybody, I'm using Atmosphere , the latest version. I updated Hekate and Kosmos Atmosphere. I found out the path for storing bgm for MHGU and I did the following:

F:\atmosphere\contents\0100770008dd8000\romfs\nativeNX\sound\bgm\battle\wav

In this wav folder, I have the Deviant theme properly named "bgm_em_Named.opus".

I encoded the zenith theme from Frontier using this tool: opus-codec(dot)org/ turning the .wav file to a .opus.

I use TegraRCMGUI to inject fusee-primary, which then boots up my Switch with Atmosphere. I then run MHGU only to find out no music is being played during Deviant fights.

What the hell am I doing wrong? Isn't LayeredFS enabled by default? I properly encoded this .opus file with the opus_tools like this via CMD:

opusenc --bitrate 255
bgm_em_Named.opus bgm_em_Named.wav

it then converted my wav file to bgm_em_Named.opus.

Games commonly are using different headers for many audio files, so just converting may be not enough. It may be that all sound files have cutted headers and stored elsewhere in one blob, so if audio file has data that is not passing checks, then to avoid crashing game audio file is not played at all. Well, Hex Editor in hand and time to do research if you want custom music. :)

@masagrator Damn, so how do I go about doing this? I tried extracting some .opus files using nxdumptool and I try playing the .opus only to be told it is corrupted

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

Used nxdumper to view directories, exported a .opus file but it cannot be played because its corrupted. How can I approach this?
