Hello, everyone! I keep getting this massge from the app. It says something like "ffmpeg" is not internal or external command, executable program, or batch file." in Russian(sorry, I can't change system language 'cause of my windows version). Does anyone know what's this mean?
ffmpeg is the program used to re-encode the video
what you can do is as instructed by Tobias "grab the bottom of the GUI window, and pull it down, it will reveal hidden debug stuff. There is an textbox that contains the generated ffmpeg command. copy the ffmpeg command"

Then you can use ffmpeg manually https://ffmpeg.org/
Download the binary for ffmpeg, open CMD in the location where you put the ffmpeg binary and then try using the command you copied from the nintendo video converter program

Thanks, I've already figured it out. When I extracted the ffmpeg archive, I placed all of its content into the nvc directory. But when I did that with encoder only, nvc worked

Hi guys I hope you are very well
I using this program and when I convert left/right stereo 3D video to 3DS, I can convert perfectly but when I try to convert Up/Down stereo 3D, every time I have an attachment error, Does somebody know how I can fix this issue?

Sincerely, I don't know why the error says "No such file or directory" and also says "convertedtoleftright. mvk" if I tried to convert video of Up/Down stereo to 3D for 3DS...

I somebody can help me, I really appreciate it!

the up/down 3D video is currently implemented in a way that it first converts the video to left/right and then converts the left right for the 3ds, but for some reason its not running the first ffmpeg command to convert to left right 3d

i am gonna look at this later

When there is SubRip (.srt) subtitle next to the converted video with the same name as the video, it will automatically embed the subtitle
and if the input video has subtitle embedded in it, check the "Subtitles are embedded in video" checkbox at the bottom

Hello there. I recently managed to successfully encode a homemade 75’ long 3D movie with this clever tool (so first of all, thanks for your effort and work).

The only thing that bothers me is the fact that, when watching the encoded video on the N3DS with 3D effect on, the left half seems to play a frame before the right half (and when there’s a cut it gets pretty obvious). It feels like the encoding messes the sync or that the N3DS can’t properly play 3D content, but I was wondering if there was any way to manually make sure that left and right are synced before conversion (or if it’s a bug that’s soon to be fixed or something that can’t be fixed, I don’t know but I’d like to).

Beside that, I’m having a pretty flawless experience.🙏🏻

Edit: out of curiosity I tried using the left D-Pad button during playback to rapidly rewatch some cuts in the video I mentioned and at times it actually looks that left and right are properly synced, which tells me it’s less of an encoding issue and that it has more to do with how the 3DS handles the video. Sorry for the poem.

i think thats bug with the player, that it sometimes gets desynced :/

I'm really struggling to get this program going. It just won't start up, no matter what I try. I've downgraded to .NET 4.8 and put ffmpeg.exe in the same folder as nvc. No error messages, it just doesn't budge.

Hello, thanks for making the GUI easy to use!

When converting a 3D left/right movie to 3DS 3D format, it outputs 2 files; left.mkv and right.mkv. Is it supposed to do that? And if so, how do I get the 3DS video player to read both files simultaneously?

You’re probably looking inside the convertor’s folder, where left and right clips are stored to build the final video (which if I’m not wrong should be in the same directory of the source video you’re trying to convert, with the only difference being it will be saved in .mkv).

Example: you have on your desktop a file called video.mp4 you’re trying to convert, and when you’re done on the desktop there should be two files called video (but one is .mp4 and the other is .mkv). You can forget about the left and right ones, as they’ll be overwritten every time you start another conversion, but if they bother you you can delete them once the conversion is done.

Lastly, since we’re talking 3D videos, make sure you’re trying to convert an already low definition video (as with 1080p sources it outputs something your 3DS can’t handle) so check the resolution of the source video to be 400x112. Anyway you’ll figure out, it’s a matter of trial and error.

Eventually, you’ll find yourself with a single .mkv that will always play both left and right simultaneously. You can choose if enabling or not 3D with the slider on the 3DS.

Yeah the left.mkv and right.mkv are just temporary files in the program directory before merging into the final mkv, which is in the same folder as the input
> make sure you’re trying to convert an already low definition video
there is no need to do that, since the program will downscale high res videos automatically to 400x240p, even when converting 3D videos
