Beta

i don't get it.
soulanger is tryin to make this perfect, but doesnt want to release the beta version?
but isn't the beta version meant to be full of bugs so a wide range of users can test and report bugs about it?
think that is the best way to get a final release without too much bugs.

Of course the real cause of this situation is the unnecessary levels of artificial hype created by the creator/testers. They conspired to keep MenuDO in the news even if the only news was "MenuDO not out yet", or "MenuDO now contains a new feature which we can't mention or even hint at". If it had been announced/released like any other piece of homebrew software (which is all it is - just another piece of homebrew software) instead of all the manufactured self-importance then people would either have been happy to wait or forgotten about it entirely. Instead of being indignant at the leak the creator/testers should all be feeling like Victor Frankenstein.

Nice tin foil hat, we're actually kinda annoyed at the leak, especially since someone decided to try and upload it to FileTrip.

But PEOPLE WERE TOLD THEY COULD SHARE IT IF THEY WANTED TO!

Problem is that this isn't in beta anymore.

Heck, I'll take a guess and say it has been out of beta stage since late 2009.

Heck, I'll take a guess and say it has been out of beta stage since late 2009.

Yes, but they still ought to release it so the humble public can file bug reports. That way, bugs will be found easier faster, kinks will be worked out quicker, and as a result, it will expedite the process of making MENUdo the OS the developers have wanted. Why not use the public to help out?

But there are no bugs anymore.

At least, that's what common sense tells me.

Everything that is being worked on right now are most likely either minor glitches that occur after a random combination of things, or minor new features.
