Could anyone share a link to either medicat.17.10.stable.iso or medicat.17.04.stable.iso, please? I believe these came with patches.

I know these are old builds but I'd like to have them in my collection.

Hello, you advise me what type of NVME M.2? and like usb Thank you
Hello personally I bought a Samsung M2 and an ICY BOX enclosure for thermal dissipation. Just take a look.

The Jayro advice is pretty good also.

I still have v19.10 up on "that BAY site" that I can't mention by name. It's the last ISO version of MediCat USB.

Me too, I still keep the 19.10 on disk and USB drive.
Deleted the old 18.x version recently.

Probably using SSD or NVMe ie over kill unless you need to boot it as production disk. I find fast enough by using Sandisk Ultra Flair USB 3.0 drive (the one with the 150 MB/s read speed).

Using a NVME is only in order to use Medicat VHD, because keys are too slow in order to boot up on a VHD file.
By the way for Medicat USB, no problem with USB3.0 keys !

I was tired of the slow read and write speeds while developing and testing, so that's who I went with NVMe. No USB stick on the market can even come close to saturating the USB 3.0 bus like NVMe can. I have that sandisk flair too, and it is a pretty good drive, but I still needed faster. It's nice having a USB NVMe stick that I can upgrade down the road of I need more space.

HI Jayro,

Firstly love this kit, has helped me a many times!

I am trying to add my own custom WinPE to this usb. the WinPE build works fine form ISOand from a clean usb with ventoy installed (exfat)

But when i add the iso to the mdicat drive (nfts), the os it self boots fine but all apps i implemented in the build do not work.

I used winpeSE from theoven to build.

any tips/help appreciated!

That's definitely a new issue to me. If exFAT works fine for you, then I say stick with it!
