Tested 21.01 version with added a few utilities I used. Fit 32G USB drive well.

It's a pretty strange issue. I have copied the program on my PC and tried to scan my PC with it using a custom scan (whole C: drive). When updating the definitions i got this error:
After that, the scan has been canceled.

I have updated the definitions again and it now scans my PC using the Threat scan. I will copy the working program back into MediCat and i will try to see if it works now using Mini Windows 10 / MalwareBytes Win10PE.

Yeah, I'm glad you like it! ^_^

I might go back to an earlier ISO build on the next release, and see if that helps.

It's not the ISO. It's the program itself, when i copied the working MalwareBytes back to Medicat, the issue is fixed in Mini Windows 10 (although it didn't show up after the splash screen once, fixed by rebooting the PC and going back into Mini Windows 10) and the MalwareBytes Win10PE. Since these two OSes share the same program that's in the programs folder, there's no reason to go back to a previous ISO. It's more like something corrupted in the data folder, probably the definitions.

There's still the issue when i boot into UEFI and starting the MalwareBytes WIndows 10 PE giving a blue screen while i can boot with legacy mode. But otherwise the ISO is fine.

Tested with SAN disk 64G USB3 and copy just the VHD file in VHD package. Windows also boot up nicely (using PC with UEFI BIOS but set to legacy mode).
It seem Windows boot up faster vs the mini Win10. However, due to lack of same utilities in VHD windows. I still preferred the mini Win10.

What I add on my 64G drive: Kali Libux, Knoppix, Ubuntu, HBCD. Still left with 800+M of space.

    Thanks for the hard work.

You can still manually open Start.exe from the USB and have all the utilities at your disposal. Maybe even add a shortcut.

Hi, i just bought a NVME M.2 SAMSUNG SSD 960EVO with an external Enclosure in order to fix my slowness issue...

So i create my VENTOY disk to MBR with the brand new last release, i format it into NTFS filesystem, extract every Medicat 21.01 Stuff as usual.
But at the end... it doesn't want to boot on it ... i've got this message when i try to boot on it.
    20210129_111114.jpg
It is very astonishing, when i make exactly the same way with my USB Key CORSAIR, i can boot on it with my computer, but with the NVME M.2 External, i can't ....

Do you think it could be an issue with Card Controller from my external enclosure ? My Gosh i hope not !!!

Then i will try with GPT filesystem format, but i'm not pretty confident, because i can't understand why it works with MBR fileformat on my USB Key ...

See ya and i will come back to tell you what are the results!!!

Any ideas why when I select Mini Windows 10 to boot to, the screen is just black with a blinking cursor?

Ok i just try with an other computer relatively new and it works, without any changes!! So i think it's a hardware compatibility issue with the other computer!

And by the way, the slowness issue disappeared with the NVME M.2 !! Thx for this tips !

No idea... Maybe try booting it in BIOS mode, and see if it works that way.

Well that's good to know it works, and that you didn't waste money. NVMe enclosures are definitely the way to go, going forward. I see it as a DIY USB stick, lol. And I love the aluminum ones, they're sexy and durable.

How do I do that? The only option I see is UEFI Mini Windows 10

You usually push F11 or F12 as the computer turns on to get a boot menu, and choose the non-UEFI version of the USB stick. The menu colors will be red instead of green, and that's when you know you're in BIOS mode.
Alternatively, you can usually change the BIOS/UEFI boot behaviot in the BIOS settings itself, just change UEFI to Legacy BIOS/CSM mode (It has a few different names, depending of manufacturer.) and make sure Secure Boot is disabled.

Any m.2 usb enclosure will work, but you should choose one that you like. I prefer the aluminum (aluminium?) ones, as they look and feel of good quality. The also disipate heat really well.

As for NVMe drives, I favor Samsung's 500GB 970 EVO in mine, but Western Digital and Silicon Power also make great reliable drives. Just really depends how much space you need vs how much money you're willing to pay.

This is the enclosure I have, it's made by RIITOP:

And here's an alternative that has both USB type A and type C, very handy to have both types:

    Hope this helps.

I still have v19.10 up on "that BAY site" that I can't mention by name. It's the last ISO version of MediCat USB.
