OK, I dumped the game, copied and pasted it to the CTGP-7 folder, and ran the Run_CTGP7 batch file. I answered USA (2) to the first question and No (2) to the second question for the HANS method. When it tells me to enter the decrypted cxi file name, I press 00 and then tab so 0004000000030800.cxi appears (as mentioned by the guide). When I hit enter, it reboots me to the first question and says "Error unpacking romfs" at the top. I dunno what's going on, because this is the second time I've dumped the game and it never gave me any errors either time. Can someone help me? I just wanna play it already.

Open log/errorlog.txt and paste here what does it say.

Weird...
Check that ctrtool.exe exists inside tools folder.

._ctrtool is there, but not the normal one. Let me retry downloading it.

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

Can I get a x64 version of the file? It keeps telling me my windows version isn't correct, even though I'm on 7 Home Premium
Edit: At this point, a bunch of files are just missing. ._Crtool isn't even there.

The version shouldn't matter, I got it from projectCTR on github

My virus protection software is on, so I don't THINK I have a virus.
EDIT: O MY GOD O FIGURED IT OUT! I PUT THE CRT TOOL FROM LAYEREDFDS INTO THE TOOLS FOLDER AND IT WORKED!!!!

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

Quick question, once I have the contents of the output folder on my SD card, do I need the cxi file on the root anymore?

No Pablo, it does matter. Ctrtool is incompatible with Windows 7. To use it with Windows 7, you've gotta recomiple the source on a machine which runs Windows 7. This is as explained by @Nanquitas
However, you're right about it partially as even I couldn't find any 64 / 32 Bit version. The GitHub site gives download links of the programs compiled on higher versions of Windows (Win 7 above).

Anyways just a suggestion. Could you use 3dstool instead of ctrtool in all those places? That'd really solve many problems.

It doesn't have cia to cxi, so I need to use it.
So... quick question. Does Download Play only work with other A9LH 3DSs, or can you do download play on stock 3DSs?
Thanks to the way MK7 works, it'll work on any 3ds

@SylverReZ if you could find a v5 DS ML you would have the best of both worlds since the v5 units had the same backlight brightness levels as the DS Lite unlockable with flashme

A woman with no arms and no legs was sitting on a beach. A man comes along and the woman says, "I've never been hugged before." So the man feels bad and hugs her. She says "Well i've also never been kissed before." So he gives her a kiss on the cheek. She says "Well I've also never been fucked before." So the man picks her up, and throws her in the ocean and says "Now you're fucked."

Agreed, that why I try to buy all my games on disc, Xbox anyways. Switch games (which I pirate tbh) don't matter much, I stay offline 24/7 anyways.

@BakerMan - you can still "own" digital media, arguably easier and better than physical since you can make copies and backups, as much as you like.

    The issue is DRM

  • cearp @ cearp:
You can buy drm free games / music / ebooks, and if you keep backups of your data (like documents and family photos etc), then you shouldn't lose the game. but with a disk, your toddler could put it in the toaster and there goes your $60

    :rofl2:
  • cearp @ cearp:
still, I agree physical media is nice to have. just pointing out the issue is drm
