I have a 2wire router, which I configured to WEP Open mode, but it won't connect, even though my DS detects it and my computer connects to it just fine. I tried manual setup and got all of the DNS and IPs correct but it won't connect. Does this mean the router is simply not compatible or is the firewall blocking it(which I tried to fix, but was met with failure)?

But I also have another router that works but I need an ethernet from a computer to be plugged in to a slot and have another ethernet going to the 2wire, which is a gateway. But then that won't work too well because the computer has only 1 ethernet slot, which it uses for the internet.

I couldn't find any helpful things on nintendo's help site. I think the problem is that my second router has a static IP. I need to assign it a new one to allow applications to go through it. But how?

Is there such thing as an ethernet adapter that lets 2 cables connect to one computer?

My router is also a 2wire router, and I'm having the exact same problem. Any setup help would be greatly appreciated !

ok, just found this on the 2Wire website:

Select No under Auto-obtain IP Adress.

For 2Wire gateways running software version 3.7.x or higher, use the following IP information:

IP address 192.168.1.15
Subnet Mask 255.255.255.0
Default Gateway 192.168.1.254
Primary DNS 206.13.30.12
Secondary DNS 192.168.1.254

For 2Wire gateways running software version 3.1 to 3.5.x, use the following IP information:

IP address 172.16.1.15
Subnet Mask 255.255.255.0
Default Gateway 172.16.0.1
Primary DNS 206.13.30.12
Secondary DNS 172.16.0.1
