ROM Hack Magnius's Pokemon Soul Silver Translation

ive just found a rom with 131072 kb size but i cantpatch v2.2 ony v2 can someone plz help me with this

did you patch 2.2 directly or are you trying to patch a rom already patched with v2? if its a clean rom should be able to apply 2.2 no problem right on it, dont need v2 at all... and make sure its soul silver not heart gold for the beta. if it still doesn't work, redownload the patch 2.2

i trie that but when i put soul silver in the folder it only trims it to 125 kb then i trie 2 patch but it wont even create folder and yes ive waited like 5 mins and nothing.

...Ok, now I'm just confused.

Initially the first half of the Pokémon Center spiel was in Japanese, then the buttons were in English, then the rest was in English.

But, after I advanced a little further in the plot, then returned to the same Pokémon Center, the entire spiel changed to English, and the buttons became Japanese.

Anyone have any idea what's going on?

Patch an untrimmed ROM. If you want to save space, then trim it after patching.

XDelta will not work on Magnius's translation, but I got it to work on Kazo's. Using the batch

Used the batch on Magnius's and still did not work.

Donwload CLEAN ROM

Put ROM into teh C: drive

LOAD THE PATCH+ROM

MAKE SURE IT IS ON PATCH TAB

CLICK PATCH IT MAY NOT WORK THE FIRST TIME MAYBE EVEN THE SECOND BUT KEEP IT UP

i did this and it worked 4 me

part of the magnius patch actually trims the rom, so the rom actually gets SMALLER by applying this patch

Heh, version 2 looks good. But I'll wait till a final version to be released, I have too many different versions in my HG/SS rom folder (a lot of Kazo's and 2 of this, can't be bothered to delete the old versions

are you sure????? i DL it and one of the first things i saw when i opened it up was [patch]

v2.2's patch is actually called .patch - which is recognized as a hidden file on most systems.

If you're on Mac, you can use terminal to rename the file ("mv .patch MPSS_Patch"), or you can show hidden files and work from there.

If you're on Windows, you'll have to show hidden files, and then use it from there.

Sometimes the rom stores the same text in two places. That's all it is.

Don't see it happening anytime soon. And by Katakana you mean romaji. If it was actually in Katakana you wouldn't be able to use it.

But yeah, I grew up with the English names and making a Romaji version would be too time consuming. I personally don't see the point.
