ROM Hack Magnius's Pokemon Soul Silver Translation

Well, I know there's already an HGSS translation going on out there, but I decided to make my own. I've been working on this patch for a few weeks now and it's made great progress! You can already play up to Goldenrod and beat Whitney in the most recent patch!

In this patch, most of the story up to where you beat Morty is translated. The National Park and Kimono Girls events are not translated yet.

Also most of the signs up to Goldenrod have been translated as well.

How do I patch it?

1. Open up the provided Xdelta GUI.exe which is supplied for you. To open this, you need Xdelta.exe, which is provided also.

2. Go to the patch tab.

3. Go to "Select Patch" and select the patch file which is provided.

4. Go to "Select Rom" and select your clean, unedited rom dump. The dump that would probably be best to use is the Xenophobia dump of Soul Silver.

5. Go to "Apply Patch".

Now it's going to take a while to apply the patch, so don't expect it to finish applying the patch instantly.

After it's applied, a patched version of your rom should show up in the same folder as the Clean one. This patched rom should be "121 MB" which yes, is smaller than the original rom.

Those will be done eventually. I just have to figure out to edit narc graphics. There's even a possibility that I could import the symbols from the English version of Platinum.

i wish you the best of luck, i'll surely download yours, i stopped playing SS because i foudn out that it was hard playing with Japanese dialogue. I don't know what the Prof. was saying but after i checked my mysterious egg was gone so i decided to stop playing lol.. weird i know

Just curious, why don't you partner up with Kazo, or even Raqib?
They have most of the Pokedex/Moves/Abilities/Trainers/Menus taken care of.

By specializing and focusing, you guys could have a completely translated game within a couple weeks. Just saying.

For the simple reason that I would just prefer working alone and things work faster that way for me. I already have the abilities and moves translated and all the other stuff will be translated soon too.

I might download one of those anti-crash patches though, because for some reason when HGSS crashes, it deletes saves too.
