Is it update to 1.4.2? I have it updated, i think is automatic on boot. Sorry, i maybe got the name wrong, it has a blue luma star as a icon with green arrow pointing up. (Luma updater i guess?) The updater from the a9lh installation guide.

What instructions? i see none.:ninja:

Would it be possible for Luma to patch "on the fly" the GBA games to restore their color and remove their ghosting? There's this tutorial on this page that explains how to patch them, but it has to be done with every single game before installing them: https://gbatemp.net/threads/restoring-original-colors-to-gba-vc.427642/ . Here's the difference between the original game and the restored one:

Yes, It did worked for me
Thanks a lot, it worked. :)

Of course i'm thanking the person who gave me the instructions, made them and made it possible to do this. So i am to assume this a9lh without sd boot is 100% legit, and not some beta test, nightly/hourly, is complete release and safe to use?

Also just a added tip, if you still one of those people like me who prefer the screen flash Or as the people call it, screen initial, you just have to rename it "Arm9loaderhax_si.Bin" and put it into the ctrnand when copying in FBI installer, then create a text file called "Path.txt" and inside write "/arm9loaderhax_si.bin" Save the text file and put the text file in the luma folder found in the ctrnand. (Should be same directory with config.bin) Then load luma config settings and enable custom path. You have to do that when using screen inital or your GBA or NDS/DSIWare games won't load.

Just curious, so putting the payloads from sd card into the ctrnand will still function without sd right? Although perhaps is kinda pointless since most of the necessary stuff requires sd like NAND backup, or file injection to NAND, but never know when you may need something like that. ^_^

Hmm i never really noticed this being a thing, then again, this is just something i don't really concern with. Since we all know the VC games in general all have some display issues, but isn't that how actual GBA looks? The added brightness was like when using GBA sp with the super bright backlight or something I guess? But since is a screen shot i guess is actually noticable, is it too much trouble to show a non screen shot comparison to be sure? Or could we just use a emulator instead of rom injections? Either way is looks nice, just wonder why is never been something i noticed until someone pointed it out.

If it is a thing, is with the Virtual console itself right? So if somehow added a fix, it should be optional like the GBA boot screen. Is only possible to change or fix this issue when making the cia for rom injection correct? Is it not possible to make some homebrew app to edit VC settings for when games get installed or something?

There's a huge difference between playing with the original colors (and ghosting) and the restored ones. The GBA games are too dark in their original colors.

I think that the proper solution would be to patch the AGB_FIRM changing two flags (they are described in the tutorial I linked). It should be a Luma option, just like the GBA boot screen.

Well i did say is a gba game, i think they were trying to make it more like the original gba system, so like if you play on gba sp with the super bright backlight, would it look closer to that vivid color instead of the washoued color? I mean if the vc games look like that cause of poor programming by a accident, that sad, but if is was supposed to be accuracy then i could understand. GBA games on nds seem to work fine with no issue in color. :)

I understand what you say, but the GBA games look much better with these flags changed, and it would be nice to be able to change them from Luma.

Just want to make sure I'm doing this correctly to update (totally not related to a certain leaked game *cough*) Do I just use the star app on the home page then the system setting? (I assume as long as it still says Sys "11.x.x" Luma is still working? Or does the star app thing do everything?

Using A9lh and Luma is currently v5.5.

Edit: To word it more simply, How do I update both Luma3DS and my firmware to latest versions.

To update Luma3DS, delete config.bin from inside the luma folder and the arm9loaderhax.bin on SD root.

Download latest Luma from here: https://github.com/AuroraWright/Luma3DS/releases/tag/v6.5 and copy the arm9loaderhax.bin from the 7z to the SD root.
Boot the console and Luma settings will launch. Set them as here:
    1. Use the (A) button and the D-Pad to turn on the following:
    2. “Autoboot SysNAND”
  • “Use SysNAND FIRM if booting with R (A9LH)”
  • “Show NAND or user string in System Settings”
  1. If you are using a New 3DS, you should also enable the following:
    • “New 3DS CPU” to “Clock+L2(x)”

  1. To update the FW, just go to System Settings and update normally.

Been going through the steps to update from rxtools to luma+a9lh today. I got luma on there and i am going through the steps to finish installing a9lh.
I'm trying to dump H&S but the dump keeps failing, i assume it's because it is already FBI v1.3.8 back from when i initially did everything a long time ago. How do i go about fixing this?

Hello !
I've got some trouble so any help would be welcome ! :c
I updated my Luma to 6.5 with luma updater, i'm on 11.2.0-35 and I installed -the game everyone talks about- with FBI, but when I launch the game... Auto-shutdown :(
I checked the Troubleshooting section of the Github but i dont think GBA/DSI crash are the same issue as me...
If anyone could help me, i'll be eternally grateful ! :)

I'm guessing you're talking about Pokemon Moon? That's really weird tbh, I have Luma 6.5 and it works perfectly fine for me. Did you get the cia from that iso site?

Yup, from That site, tried 2 different uploads but nothing... Gonna try to uninstall - reinstall, because I installed it before updating my Luma :)
