Noob Question: If Aureinand releases a new update, and I'm currently @ 3.14, how am I supposed to "update" the Aureinand CFW?
What Files need to be replaced, and so on?

Copy firmware.bin and firmware90.bin as well as any payload that can be found in your SDcard\aurei\payloads. Afterwards, paste those files in the NEW version. Then delete the OLD aurei folder as well as the OLD arm9loaderhax.bin(or AuReiNand.dat)(which is at the root of your SDcard) and paste the NEW aurei folder and the NEW arm9loaderhax.bin(or the NEW AuReiNand.dat)

Thanks, thats it?
No need for installing A9LH again, or something like that?
Nope! A9LH is a one-time-installation. You cannot even remove it unless you restore a NAND.bin backup which DOESN'T have A9LH installed. You can update though A9LH when a new release of your A9LH fork is available using the SafeA9LH which is another story. :P

Now you make me curious.
Lets say Nintendo releases a new Update it right now - i install it, but the cfw fails or whatever, something went wrong, and I am still able to launch my Decrypt9 und Flash my 10.7 Backup on it which works like a charm?

This would be the case if the new update(eg 10.8+) offered a new NATIVE_FIRM. Then we would need to download a new firmware.bin. (And even if you update, you won't lose A9LH as AuReiNand protects FIRM0/FIRM1 where A9LH resides). I will summon the wizards @astronautlevel @Supster131 care to explain more on this matter?

What "version" of bin2c do we need to compile this now? I tried using the one from devkitPSP and it doesn't use the same type of options. :S

Thanks, got it. Now I have Yifan's loader/injector cxi loading dynamically instead of needing to be hard-coded into firmware.bin.
Waiting for cool stuff to happen. Shit, when I joined this community, it started raining hax. 10.3 downgrade, a9lh and now this. xD

No. However, you can patch the home menu to be region free. https://gbatemp.net/threads/patchin...me-menu-arm9loaderhax-or-emunand-only.419047/

If you don't want to patch it yourself, you can find one pre patched on that iso site. Look for a post by ihaveamac

has anyone tested if NTR still boots with the patched home menu and if it works with the spoofed version also. I think NTR checks the version so it *should* dump with the spoofed version, but hey, this is just a guess; An Educated Guess.

    Only Xbox I don't have is the OG, and One X model specifically, I regret giving my chipped OG model to one of my kids years ago, after later hearing he sold it to pawn shop, damn kids!

    I just recently picked up a n64 from a garage sell, and looking to mod it and add a HDMI port to it. https://www.ebay.com/itm/3548173115...044&customid=4f3038da73b61afddf7e5e90f4153856
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
    I'd like to find a power strip and HDMI selector built in 1 unit, so I can select which game system I want, and will switch to that hdmi, and power on that plug/power supply only, so don't have all game systems powered all the time, but can't find anything like. May just have to make something myself.
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
    Maybe start a kick starter page and sell them, yea right. Big N would prob C&D me, not anything Big N related, but just because that's what they do nowdays. Then come out with they own in a year or so.

    @Xdqwerty, Nice. Which operating system are you installing?
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
    @SylverReZ, windows 10 and some linux distro like linux mint
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
    dualbooth
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
    @Xdqwerty, Yeah, I'd recommend having another OS just in-case you want to play games.
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
    At least Linux doesn't contain spyware than what Windows has.
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
    @SylverReZ, cuz of lag?
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
    @Xdqwerty, No. Whenever you use the internet on Windows, Microsoft collects personal data and installs bloatware that isn't necessarily needed, such as Edge.
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
    Speaking of which
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
    @SylverReZ,
    I recall @impeeza mentioned some trick about not having bloatware when installing windows where you set up your country to "world" or smh like that

  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
    Yes, you can debloat the operating system, but in some cases for me it just reinstalls them.

  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
    @SylverReZ,
    I also recall my brother downloded a "non bloated" version of windows 11 on his pc

  • impeeza @ impeeza:
    @Xdqwerty yes, when you are installing Windows on the first steps you are asked for your current location, you MUST to select «international» so no bloatware is installed, because the bloatware is location based. if this night I have some time I will setup a VM and take screenshots.
