has anyone tested if NTR still boots with the patched home menu and if it works with the spoofed version also. I think NTR checks the version so it *should* dump with the spoofed version, but hey, this is just a guess; An Educated Guess.

Nope! A9LH is a one-time-installation. You cannot even remove it unless you restore a NAND.bin backup which DOESN'T have A9LH installed. You can update though A9LH when a new release of your A9LH fork is available using the SafeA9LH which is another story.

I have an interesting problem doing just that on my aqua 3DS (my N3DS XL and 3DS XL installed fine). safeal9h mentions that it cannot find my otp.bin or is the wrong size but I have confirmed it is in fact correct and my original install used the clouda9h website and it works just fine with my otp.bin and it verified correctly when I dumped it.

EDIT: Yes, otp.bin is in the al9h folder and that folder is on the root of my SD Card.

If you don't bug me I'm integrating the loader Soon (TM) (not the Gateway meaning of it)
I'd have done it sooner if I wasn't having issues with the new memory searching algorithm (which is faster than the current memsearch). I also remade the menu code and fixed some stuff with the new features.

Unzip the 2 files and merge the "a9lh" folders(each .zip file has an "a9lh" folder) into one. Then paste inside your OTP and paste the "a9lh" folder in your 3DS and try with the LATEST SafeA9LH.

I pretty much have the loader thing done already, but it's a naive implementation..it doesn't bother checking how long the one in FIRM is versus the CXI, and it probably should. But if you want to work from it as a base, I'm more than happy to open a pull request.

I did that, in fact this page is where I got the files from any I know my OTP is good as al9h works on the 3DS using the OTP.bin I dumped and verified with OTPHelper and CloudA9H generates a usable installer for that console.

You can also wait a bit longer, Aurora's working on adding a new technique for region-free (amongst other things) that will make FMP/NTR obsolete in this area.

While the loader may not make this possible, it's probably in possible in general.
I remember someone saying that CFWs can probably emulate a slot-1 cart to have a Gateway type loader.
It wouldn't be the simplest thing to do, and it's probably not worth the devs time and effort. We can already use cias anyways.

huh, updating AuReiNAND shouldn't cause that issue.
Have you done anything else to your system?
Does online work when downgrading AuReiNAND?
