oh but mate, i mean GW emuNAND, cause i like using GW emuNAND for region free stuff , i know theres regionfreeloaders and stuff.

but mainly i just like to use my GW haha.

I understand

If you load it from 9.2 it will be normal GW emuNAND but if you forget it will load the emuNAND anyway but won't have access to your gateway roms

But is it used in firmlaunched sysnand mode?
The only case in which it's not used is if booting with 9.0 FIRM. This is because that patch replaces the firmlaunch code, and thus (not on purpose) fixes firmlaunchhax and prevents you from using exploits.
Btw I did a major reorganization of the first post. Tell me if it's more noob-proof, lol.

Just to be clear on this, what happens if nintendo releases an update, that also updates the firm? Will updating that mess up A9LH? I have my consoles booting into system nand with this, and did not create any flag files

@Aurora Wright

Feedback on first post, it looks great, great job, thank you, much more user friendly :)

EDIT: just reading it through again, the Flags section in particular is very helpful, i think this is where i was starting to get a little lost earlier in the thread

Tbh, you could not make things any clearer than you have, thanks

No, it shouldn't.

I asked this question to more knowledgeable people, they confirmed that it will not brick your system and it will not remove A9LH. It will have the same effect as emuNAND, that being it's not going to be usable until the CFW is updated to support the newest FIRM.

"/rei/usepatchedfw": If you wish to have a slightly faster boot at the expense of up to 3 MBs of SD space, you can create this file. However, remove all patched fimwares from the rei folder if you were using this with the 9.0 exploits and then switched to A9LH, or when I say so with a new release!"

So I delete firmware90.bin and create this file?

No, that's not a patched firmware. Any file that says "patched".

Thanks, i was interested in this also

So, firmware.bin & firmware90.bin are both cool to stay and the flag file usepatchedfw can be placed inside rei folder for a faster boot ?

Just looking for clarification

some of the best selling games on the switch are wii u ports (that are priced way too high

@ColdBlitz, i forgot breath of the wild released for the Wii u

$60 for a game that's a decade old might be unheard of on PC but actually is not uncommon on consoles

especially Nintendo because they only ever lower the price of games when they do a greatest hits/platinum hits/players choice re-release

@The Real Jdbye, and the HD collections released for 7th gen consoles too
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:

I think we all forgot breath of the wild released for the wii u tbh

  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
@The Real Jdbye, tbh the HD collections are more justified since they include more than just 1 game per copy
