@Aurora Wright I use emunand with 3.12 so I just use the bottom 2 options. Would someone with updated sysnand enable all three options from the config menu? I have been trying to help others get setup and I just want to make sure I am not giving bad information.

I have the same setup, but I only ticked the patched FW one. Is that wrong? Should I go back and tick the other one as well? Everything works without it

From the op:

If, for some reason, you want to use the non-A9LH version of the CFW (the .dat + .3dsx from HBL) after booting with the 9.0 FIRM on Arm9LoaderHax, you can force A9LH behavior by creating this file. It's not needed otherwise.

there's two main challenges to this

• the releases are packed in .7z archives and I can't have my site extract them and repack to .zip at this time, or extract them on the 3DS system
• GitHub enforces https, and ctrulib can't seem to download from sites that use it right now (unless I'm mistaken?)

I could definitely work on something like this but I would need to get around these somehow.

I am not sure how reliable this would be, but GitHub hosts mirrors of the release packages in AWS.

If you look at the URL of the file itself, it is always something like this:

https://github-cloud.s3.amazonaws.c...esponse-content-type=application/octet-stream

The mirrors hosted on AWS supports http.

Of course this would mean your web server needs to store the actual URL to these files on AWS and probably need to periodically refresh it (not sure if the URL changes overtime due to AWS instances spinning up/down)

i would like to know if i can also use another bin file with it? like we do with bootctr?

for example now when i boot it boots straight into aureinand, and pressing Start boots me into D9
can i set another bin e.g Godmode bin to a certain key and boot into it whilst i power my console on?

yes you can set it to keys like a.bin,b.bin.x.bin,y.bin,up.bin,down.bin,right.bin,left.bin

just put godmode bin in payloads and rename to one of the above.

albuspercibal98, yeah something is going on there. Once you set the config option and push start the 3ds should reboot into sysNAND and create a config.bin file in the aurei folder. I'm inquiring with @Aurora Wright to see if someone with updated sysnand provided you with a config.bin if AuReiNand accesses this file each boot or only the initial boot. If is is read every boot maybe this could help you get past the black screen after setting options in config menu.

same here, i used to flash 1000 roms on my Galaxy S2..(now i am a nexus 6 user, cause.. i prefer CM/PureAndroid ftw.!)

at times Flashing Roms tires me out though. XD
(btw. what Rom did you make?)

@stl25 mate can you explain what that armselect is? is it like a bootctr thing? like a menu where we can choose what to boot into?
and i checked on your modded zip , you have AuReinand bin in the playloads folder and a start bin which is "start.bin= Decrypt9WIP " written in the notepad file, is the notepad file needed to be updated on whatever bin we use yeah?

and is it connected to the Armselect thingie?

Didn't really MAKE it, just ported and compiled. I implemented a few tweaks and features sometimes tho. I uh, have "ported" AOKP, CyanogenMod, PAC-Rom (main one), SlimROM, and a few others to the Galaxy S5, having to build for all varients.

but do i have to always use your arm9loaderhax now? as that is the armselect one i would guess..? x_x

like when a new update comes etc. i have to keep your armloaderhax in the root and just rename the armloaderhax (or into AuReiNand like the one in your modded zip?) that comes with the new update and place it in aurei folder yep?

@leonmagnus99, yes using the arm9select from my mod would be required. The original arm9select release loads payloads from a folder named arm9select on the root of mSD/SD. You can use @FIX94 original arm9select 1.1 you just need to create arm9select folder on root of mSD/SD and put payloads inside. If AuReiNand or another payload would be your default boot option it would have to be named default.bin and be placed in the arm9select folder. I made the mod to follow the file structure of AuReiNand so it loads from the payloads folder like AuReiNand. The only other change was it loads AuReinand by default named as AuReiNand.bin instead of default.bin. The only issue I can see is if someone used Cakes or another CFW as the default boot option they would have to rename it to AuReiNand.bin and I know this would be inconvenient. So when AuReiNand gets updated all you need to do is rename the arm9loaderhax.bin from AuReiNand to AuReiNand.bin and drop in the payloads folder.
