Yeah I tried it all, pressing and releasing at the same time, holding for a little then a while. Tried h&s inject and have to say, to the guy a few pages ago who called it obsolete: thank god it's not. Much thanks man, i'm up and running.
Do a google for button tester homebrew, maybe one of your buttons is broken. There's also config files you can download that will set the button combination to a different set of buttons (avoiding R or L which commonly break)

Got it sorted already man, it was the L button btw, I opened it up and reseated the spring, it works now. I left a like bec I came back and saw you left the correct info at any rate. Thanks for the help.

okay, I did that and when i turned the ds on it says "Failed to apply 1 firm patches" what does that mean? It also says press any button to shut down.
It means this version is based on an older Luma and won't work for you. Someone will need to apply the same modifications to Luma 9.1.
