Is their no more Pros & Cons with updating to 11.4 if you already has sys 11.3 or 11.2 etc, Will homebrew apps still work? Im not talking about .cias within CFW OS, but Doom and Mgba Homebrew apps ? i dont want to update and find out they don't work.

Also what the hell is up with boot9Strap? thats a lot of work for compared to soundhax then a9hl, whats the point for people already on CFW.. I see lots of people displaying badges but shouldn't these people already of had CFW.. I thought Hardmods are something of a last resort.. not something to be proud of.

What? The guide is super easy now. There's no need to downgrade to 2.1 or any of that stuff, like how A9LH was.

And it only takes about 10 mins to update from A9LH to B9S.

Hardmods are only needed if you're on 11.4.

Homebrew launcher is broken on o3ds iirc. You can use ctr-httpwn if you'd like to stay on 11.2 and play online.

And Boot9Strap provides better brick protection than A9LH. It's not a CFW, it's what coldboots CFW. A9LH is outdated now as well, you can only get the latest Luma updated on B9S now.

You can use soundhax to install boot9strap. Hardmod is only needed for 11.4 (and <= 3.0 until the installer gets the web exploit update).
And you can't get a9lh on 11.4, so hardmod is last resort for cfw.
And hardmod doesn't have to be last resort. Some people install hardmod just to have it and to say they did.
Edit: and for those who already had a9lh just had to run a .bin payload via chainload

The guide says you can install B9S by either soundhax or hardmod. It is up to you but we all know which way is faster and easier.
