Does anyone have any more details? Is this being loaded off the SD card or a USB drive? Does this only work with 1 game at a time or is there some type of menu? I know this is very very early still, but this is very exciting news.

Loaded from the networking by patching the file system functions (what Cafiine does) along with a patch to the loader for the rpx. Could also read from USB or SD card with further development.

Yes it is similar.
In the video I launch a game from network (the executable of the game + the files)

But i'm also able to dump the executable of a running application.
The video didn't show him choosing a specific file or folder, so I'd imagine it's one at a time.

It's legit, yeah! It's the same guy who made Cafiine!
I didn't made cafiine, I just ported it for 5.3.2 and add a dump function. Thanks chadderz (maybe other people too i don't know) for this tool :)
And yes it's legit, i didn't show all the process because it's better with some mystery =)

I assume it's only for 5.3.2
I only work on 5.3.2 but wouldn't be that hard to port on other fw.

I think it proves that people don't bother looking at the other threads anymore. I was expecting a lot of "Screw off we know" but I guess not.
I'm assuming what he meant was that we shouldn't share this info before we have an actual, working backup loader. Whether it's to prevent Big N from finding out, prevent our hopes from getting dashed if the project is abandoned, or prevent a flood of people asking "how do i pirut U gaemz," I don't know.

It was already revealed in a big thread here that Nintendo follows. This is no secret. He probably meant we should have waited for golden45 to make a thread dedicated to it when he was ready as it's still very early. However, it seems he doesn't mind.

That's the first of the consoles to fall to piracy.

Poor Nintendo :c
But the ps4 has unsigned code execution and I'm pretty sure there is a private xbone code of some sort floating around. Congratz Nintendo you made a truly great system...would be funny if the next Nintendo wave of consoles were really pirate proof. Also wish Nintendo would just embrace homebrew and not treat indie devs they way they do...took me 6 months to get my devkit

PS4 also had "backup loading" but that used a clever trick and was limited to a few games (purchased on another PS4) and required NOR dumping.
No "click n download any game and launch that".
Unsigned code execution doesn't mean piracy, Xbone, well to be honest, I haven't kept up with the Scene in quite a while due to personal circumstances.

It's a crying shame, Ninty/MS/Sony shunning homebrew.
Sony allowed Linux to be ran on the PS3, removed it cause it lead to some poking around.
MS, well, they did immediately listened when the KK exploit was found.
Nintendo... I don't think they ever listened.
Ninty treads homebrew like vermin.

that game's engine is really fucking intensive so it runs like literal shit on xbox 360 and ps3

Nah I'm getting value creep again. I look at a $50 console "but for just a few more dollars you could get XYZ" and I end up considering the Steam Deck.
