Dualis notches its 4th update in less than a week this time to R13.3:

GPU: Added support for flipping of bitmap OBJs
GPU: Fixed a clipping bug for rotoscaled bitmap OBJs
MMU: Fixed a bug that would sometimes result in bad 32-bit reads from VRAM
GUI: Added support for zipped ROMs (only .nds)
GUI: Added support for the master char/screen offsets in the map viewer
GUI: Tile information is now diplayed when clicking on the map in the map viewer
GUI: Added a texture viewer (supports only 15-bit textures at this point)

Zipped NDS ROMS now that's a plus!

Hehe, I know it sounds silly but using zipped roms is something I find to be quite useful. It seems to me like the dualis team is building their emulator implementing first things you'd need once the core emuation is finished, not last (for those of us interested in emulating commercial roms). The dualis project really seems like the best choice to try out homebrew applications though.

DeSmuME 0.3.3 has been released, finally he goes with a naming scheme! So far this is probably the leader of the pack, so let's see how much better it is!

I did not work on the project this week but this morning thanks to bilou

Nice, tested a few games out, and a lot had better compatibility. Still kinda freezes or something when you're just about to do the first operation in Trauma Center though

Graphics are a lot better in DeSmuME... Just there's a mite issue with sprites in the lower screen.. sometimes they are just invisible..
For instance in the most current game which is Romance of the Three Kingdoms (whatever it is in Jap) game after the intro (which runs really slow and offcolor in iDeaS) the main menu is invisible (but not in iDeaS). I see this also in PW:AA which i'd love to play.

Even though I like iDeaS, a lot more games run in DeSmuME and videos run at near prefect rates.

For instance Cool104 runs prefect in DeSmuME, and not in the most current iDeaS (1.0.0.8).

The biggest things to work on eventually will be the save creation.. Most games will not go very far about half or more of them because of the save check.

Sound isn't as important to me though it'd be fun =P.

One thing, it's fun to see how quickly they have all suddenly progressed, this will be the first time I'll be around to notice a programming scene come about, pick a subject and work through to a working emulator.

I came too late to pay attention for SNES, and wasn't really all that aware until late into GBA development, so it's very interesting to see these take shape. (This and saturn emulation, which has come farther than some give credit.)

Phoenix Wright is fully playable in iDeaS 1.0.0.8 now...not properly functional but playable.
If you can't see the menu options in the bottom screen just go to the court records and come back and you should be able to see them.
Shame there's no save or fast forward yet, I finished the first case though.
