LEGO announces Super Mario 64 themed playset

LEGO is teaming up with Nintendo once more for a unique toy release. As revealed by an announcement trailer, the latest collaboration involves a large "?" It's a 2,064 piece playset that features Peach's Castle, Bob-omb Battlefield, Cool, Cool Mountain, and Lethal Lava Land, as well as 10 character minifigures such as Mario, Yoshi, Peach, and various Super Mario 64 enemies and characters. The Super Mario 64 ? Block playset will be available exclusively from LEGO on October 1st for a whopping $169.99, with a second release set for 2022 with general retailers.

Maybe for someone who are into it. I am huge fan of Megaman, Zelda, and Mario but I am not into action figures and things which doesn't do anything. I prefer to playing on television and love the ending. Only video games I collected. To me, it is a piece of junk and didn't do anything but construct. Just like junkie action figures, and statues. Not for me.

I love the tiny levels, the details and everything, but the folding is a pointless gimmick and half the bricks in this set are a waste of space (and money). It would make more sense if the ? Block unfolded so that each cube face was a base for a level, but having it just be a housing for smaller bases is a huge waste.

It looks rather basic. Mario and Peach aren't even proper figures. The scale is so small that the stages are barely recognizable apart from Peach's Castle. With the ?-block being that big they could've made better use of the space. It's neat, I guess, but it could've been so much better.

I thought it would unfold that way but they went for a pointless gimmick instead.

Nintendo and Lego are the biggest rip offs in their respective industries... But combined, wow! That price for a few pieces of moulded plastic is insane.
You could probably buy a 3D printer for the same amount of money as this set, and make an infinite number of LEGO bricks. You could make an endless number of ? Blocks!
