Hacking Legit Cia

Hi, I have a 3ds currently on 4.5 with roxas set up for legit cias but I want to restore it back to my 9.2 NAND.

What is the best way to have legit cias without a gateway? Any guides?

Or would it just be easier to get a gateway and if so is online play safe now?


Edit, I want to go back to 9.2 as my pokemon x will then work again

Legit CIAs should work even if you update. Just need a method to install them in the first place.

but would the Roxas sd card still work after the update? Im not sure if i can just update either, I was planning on just restoring my 9.2 nand or would an upgrade be better?

I think you should install a9lh + luma 3ds as your cfw following this guide

Many thanks, Ive restored my NAND so I am back on 9.2. Ive had a quick scan through that guide seems lengthy but i might look into it. Also where in that would the installation of the legit cias be?

And how easy is that method ?

This method is not ultra easy but not so hard either, it is safe but only if you do exactly what they tell you and re read everything few times
with eath you wouldn't even need your cias to be legit ^^

No but it may brick your 3ds if it is a corupted one
be sure of your source ^^

Unless you have a9lh, in which case you are essentially brickproof as long as you dont fuck with firm0 or firm1, which installing a cia should not do.

I have got up to the point where you downgrade to 2.1 but when i pressed to do it i got an error at the md5 bit so i went to restart it and now my emunand wont open. Ive tried reflashing the emunand_formatted but it did not work

Well you have to reflash the emunand_ formated and retry the downgrade of it
plus it is normal it dosen't boot because as the tutorial say if you carefully read, it is normal you can't boot emunand after a downgrade since no cfw can boot 2.1
so do as follow and reflash your emunand with the emunand formated backup and retry the downgrade of it until it work, if you fail a downgrade don't just re launch play sys upadater, reflash your emunand before
plus i hope you formated 2 times
and don't miss any step
The tutorial is 100% safe at the condition you read and do exactly what they say, if you brick your system, it mean you made a mistake
and as someone who folowed this I can guarantee there isn't any mistake in the tutorial ^^

and you should redownload the 2.1 pack for your system
and check if you have the rigth cheksum, i think you migth have download a corupted file, it happen sometime ^^

If you have windows 10 do a rigth click on the file go in crc sha and click on sha 256 to see the key and then check if it corespond to the sha256 key of the zip

if you are on windows 10 rigth click on the 2.1 zip
then go on CRC SHA and click on SHA-256
It will show you a key and compare it with the one at the end of this page
